This Tablet runs on Notion Ink's customised version of Android OS v2.2 (Froyo), for professional and leisure usage. The Adam comes equipped with the Nvidia Tegra 2 Dual Core processor and 1 GB DDR2 RAM. The Processor accelerates the Tablet's performance and the ULP GeForce GPU supports 1080p video playback.

With Notion Ink's proprietary User Interface, EDEN, multitasking becomes simpler and intuitive, and the OS also supports all the applications available in the Android market. It offers Java support, giving you the liberty to explore the variety of features that the Tablet comes with.

This Notion Ink brainchild has a 3.2 megapixel 185 Deg swivel camera which is a unique innovation of the Adam. The camera has 8x zoom and Auto Focus, best suited not only for shooting pictures, but also for online video chatting and video recording. The Tablet comes with an internal microphone to further simplify your chat experience.

Design

The Notion Ink Adam has a classy, futuristic look, with a sleek black chassis and a wide 10.1-inch touchscreen. The Tablet has an oblique structure that gradually thins towards one wide end, and is curved at the edges, especially around the speakers.

The unique display of this Wi-Fi Adam is Transmissive, Transflective and Reflective Sunlight Readable. The screen adjusts its brightness and contrast based on the light ambience in the environment. In dim light, the display requires an auxiliary transmissive backlight. The display is protected from mishaps as it is Scratch resistant, Fingerprint resistant, and is clad by a Matte Screen Guard for better grip, and also has an Anti-glare coating.

The Adam is equipped with a 3.5 mm headphone jack, 2 USB 2.0 ports, 1 mini-USB port, and an HDMI port enabling connectivity to a number of peripheral devices like Keyboard, Mouse, external Hard Drives and HD-enabled display. The Stereo loudspeakers engrafted on either side of the top edges of this Tablet offer you a rich sound experience.

Storage and Battery

The Adam has 8 GB of internal storage which is extendable up to 64 GB via a microSD or microSDHC or microSDXC card. The Tablet uses a 3 cell 24.6 Whr Lithium-Ion battery which gives you a runtime of up to 48 hours.

Connectivity and Features

This Adam Tablet conforms to 802.11 Wi-Fi connectivity over b/g/n bands. The Tablet is integrated with a version 2.1 + EDR Bluetooth which is backward compatible with the v1.2, for faster data transfer. There is also a True GPS module incorporated in the Tablet PC, which uses satellites to determine the location in real-time and does not require a data connection. The Adam is preloaded with Eden and Dolphin browsers, with HSDPA of 7.2 Mbps and HSUPA of 2 Mbps.
