    • Dr. S.B. Patel is currently an Emeritus Professor at University of Mumbai-Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences, Vidyanagari Campus, Mumbai 400098. He is also an Adjunct Faculty at the University of Mumbai and University of Illinois at Chicago, USA. He has taught physics for more than 35 years at the B.Sc. and M.Sc. levels at the Ramnarain Ruia College, Mumbai and Department of Physics, University of Mumbai. He earned his Ph.D. in Nuclear Physics from TIFR-Mumbai University in 1976. Later he was involved in postdoctoral research at the Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory, University of California at Berkeley, USA. His field of specialization is Nuclear Structure at High Angular Momentum. Dr. Patel has guided many Ph.D. students in the area of nuclear structure. His hobbies include hiking, trekking and swimming.
