Objective Computer Awareness For Competitive Examination focuses on making candidates appearing for competitive examinations aware of the basic concepts related to computers.
Summary Of The Book
The need for this book was felt when several competitive examinations, including that for the recruitment of Probationary Officers in banks, started asking questions related to fundamental computer principles in their papers. This has become especially important since a lot of banks these days are aiming at becoming completely computerized. However, a lot of qualified candidates are unable to achieve the cut-off for these examinations due to the lack of essential and basic computer skills.
The basic objective behind writing Objective Computer Awareness For Competitive Examination is to acquaint such candidates with the basic information needed on computers in a short time period, so that they can do well in competitive examinations. The importance of questions related to computers in bank exams has increased. The 2003 SBI PO exam had 10 questions on computer fundamentals, the Allahabad Bank PO exam had 21 questions on computer awareness, and four other bank exams had 10 questions on computer awareness.
The book contains chapters on topics that pertain to computer basics such as MS-Excel, MS-Word, MS-DOS, MS-PowerPoint, MS-Tally, Internet & Networking, Tally and even model papers. It was published in 2012 by BSC Publications.
