Occupying Silence, a coffee table book, is a collection of full colour plates of Devashish Makhija's graphic-verse pieces, half of which comprised the show 'Occupying Silence' at Gallery Kanishka's (now 'Experimenter') and the other half of which appear only in this book. These are interspersed with miniature vignettes of the artist-author's life of creative confusion.
