Olympus 8 x 40 DPSI
I bought this as a gift. The service was excellent, Flipkart shipped it within 3 days (upon my request). The packaging was also very good.
I tested the binos for a day or two and was really impressed by the wide angle views. These are nice to hold, and robustly build. I found them very good for daylight viewing and reasonable good for viewing night sky. Recommended.
An update to original review: I bought DPS 10x50 as a gift again. And that one is as good as 8x40. Olympus DPS is for sure the best binoculars in this price range (next being Nikon Action, but i'll prefer Olympus DPS before Nikon Action in case i have to buy a replacement for my binos).

Nice one this
For newbies, this is awesome... I spent lot of time selecting a pair on the net- against good optics, availablity, and value for money. I bet on the DPS-I and it has been great. Watched the moon, stars, and lot many birds. It's price is up since I bought it, but still worth it all. Surely prefer this over the 2K priced ones, after all optics matter more than a few bucks for awesome experience. Get it!

Slightly heavy but a great buy!
Well, Flipkart shipped this beauty to me in a record 24 hours! I took it with me on a recent camping trip. These binoculars are a treat for all birdwatchers with superb magnification and come in a great carry case. However they are heavy and for people like me with a weak neck, they can be burdensome. Surprisingly, even though its eye-relief is not much, it offers good comfort for bespecatacled people like me. Go for it if budget is not a constraint and you want to see your birds up close and personal!

Zoom the natural sight..............
I ordered this Binocular on Flipkart on the 20th December and received it on the 21st December (the next day of order),,,,,
I live in Basheer Hostel of The English and Foreign Languages University. (at the top floor). I find the seen of the sky, Manikeshwarnagar and Osmania University are really nice from the roof of the hostel of our university.
I saw a lot of sights with this from the window of my room and surprised........
You can zoom everything with it without any difficulties.
The Binocular is free from any color-blurring defect. (Generally most of the binoculars are not free from this defect.) You can find out the face of the person which may be far almost 400 meters.
You can go for it (definately)..................

Best one
This was our first binocular and after reading the reviews on different websites and on flipkart I have taken risk and gone for it , but my gamble paid off and we found it really suitable product . We used this binos in Kalpa to watch snow peaked mountain as well as used in Bharatpur bird sanctuary the quality is amazing.
I have also ordered for 10 x 50 and when compared 10 x 50 is slightly better than this, but cost is also 1K higher for that.
People can either try 10 x 50 or 8 x 40 don't go for 8-16 x 40 as the quality is not that good as written in reviews as well as it is a bit shaky on higher zoom level. I have checked in Croma at IGI, Delhi , they have live demo piece , and found 10 x 50 is best
