These 8 x 42 EXWP I binoculars are constructed with Roof prisms in the viewing barrel, which are made from high-index BaK-4 prisms that deliver crisp and bright images. The Roof prism allows for a compact and sleek design that will fit right in to any backpack or pocket. Your subject is magnified to 8x its original size, showing you in minute detail the deer you're tracking or a meteor shower.
BodyThe body of these EXWP I binoculars is compact and streamlined and fit comfortably in your hands when you use them. The modern design of the Olympus 8 x 42 EXWP I makes it an attractive addition to your vacations. The focus knob is placed in the center, between the 2 viewing barrels, and has a large design for ease of use and access. Each eyepiece has an individual built-in dioptric correction with eyecups that can be twisted up or down to suit your particular needs. The glass of the eyepieces are lead-free, protecting you actively while you enjoy a hiking trip.
This ergonomic pair of binoculars weighs 649 g and is very convenient to hold up to your eyes while in use for long periods of time. They measure 130 x 145 x 53 mm, compact enough to be comfortable in hands of any size. The 8 x 42 EXWP I is hermetically sealed and nitrogen purged, making these binoculars water- and fog-proof.
PerformanceThese professional binoculars feature optics that are specially crafted to deliver precision performance. The 8 x 42 EXWP I has an objective lens size of 42 mm, which is a wide-angle lens that will give you a larger scope of visibility. The exit pupil measures 5.3 mm, which is the measure of the size of the ray of light entering your eye from the binoculars. These indicate the brightness and clarity of your images. With a relative brightness of 27.6, you will be able to view crisp and end-to-end images even in bright sunlight.
This Olympus 8 x 42 EXWP I has a center focus that adjusts the focal point of both eyepieces individually. The close focus measure of 3 m indicates that you can focus on objects as close as 3 m. This makes it ideal to use these binoculars on hiking and camping trips as you can spot that jumping fish or bear on the next cliff as clearly as though they are right next to you.
The EXWP I binoculars have an eye relief of 19 mm, which is the maximum distance at which your eye can see through the eyecups. The advantage of this feature is that if you wear eye glasses, this binocular can accommodate your spectacles for comfortable viewing. The Olympus binoculars also have built-in diopter controls for each eyepiece that sport a range of 2m-1, so that you can take off your eye glasses and use the binoculars comfortably.
These Olympus binoculars have a 6.3° angle of view, opening a whole new horizon of possibilities for you. They also sport full multi-coating on the insides of the viewing barrel which reduce glare and unnecessary refraction while relaying bright and sharp images to you even in bright sunlight. The phase coating of the roof of the binoculars ensures that your images are not degraded. The additional UV coating protects your eyes from harmful rays of the sun, letting you enjoy balmy warm days without worrying about your health.
Buying GuideThese waterproof binoculars will be an ideal take-along to any activity that has you braving the elements. With a wide-angle lens and bright optical performance, you can now experience trekking, camping, hiking and boating or water sports to the fullest. These binoculars also perform to the hilt when you are star-gazing or at a sporting event like a tennis or hockey match. They also perform well enough for bird-watching activities, especially if you're in a monsoon forest or on a mountain peak.

EXWP I 8x42This is a fabulous pair of roof-prism binocular that presents as good an image as the good porro-prism ones, at a price that won't blow your roof away. For the sake of size and weather-resistance, if you are willing to settle for a lesser field-of-view, this is the binocular.
