Build
Keeping ease of use and comfort aspects in mind, the HEM 4020 Omron BP monitor is ergonomically designed. The body of the Omron semi-automatic BP monitor comprises of three components; the display panel, the cuff and the inflation bulb. The display panel is composed of a clear and easy to read LCD display and control buttons. The LCD screen simultaneously displays both systolic and diastolic blood pressure readings as well as pulse readings in a digitized format.The HEM 4030 BP monitor provides a medium sized cuff made from nylon and polyester. The cuff is comfortable and easy to attach. Manually operated, the inflation rubber bulb is easy to squeeze enabling inflation and deflation appropriately at an optimum level.
Performance and Features
This semi-automatic blood pressure monitor by Omron provides accurate readings using the Oscillometric method. The cuff inflates by squeezing the rubber bulb and automatically deflates once you stop squeezing the inflation bulb, after which your blood pressure readings are displayed automatically in a digitized three fold display. The Omron blood pressure monitor displays a range from 0 to 299 mmHg for pressure readings and 40 to 180 beats/minute for pulse rates.The measurement accuracy rate is recorded at +/-3 mmHg for pressure readings and +/-5% of reading for pulse readings. The monitor features a memory that enables you to keep track of 21 sets of readings. Battery operated, this HEM 4030 BP monitor is powered by 2 AAA batteries. When not in use, you can safely keep the 4030 Omron blood pressure monitor in the storage case that comes with it.

Very Good semi-automatic BP Monitor for self diagonosis.
Hello,
I have used this product, it seems to be very usefull. Though I was not able to verify the results with the doctor, but after testing it thrice I am confident its showing the correct results with /- 5% of error at max.
The good thing about it you manually have to inflate it, so it doesnot rely on the machine itself to pump in the air and as a results uses less battery power.

5 Stars to Flipkart for the service . The packaging was very professional and the delivery was done in little more than 24 hours .. Very fast
As far as the product is concerned it is average . It does what it says. With few niggles .
1) The air pump bulb is small. This means you would have to pump a lot to get the air pressure up-to the required level . This can be quite tedious if you are measuring the BP by your self . ( Also read that as increased BP level caused by pumping) . The manual says that the desired pressure has to be reached in 4-5 seconds. But this is not possible with a small bulb ..I would appreciate if Omron sent me a bigger bulb
2) I quite often get a EE reading ,probably caused by the lack of proper air pressure .

okk but better than automatic ones
i just recieved the product... and i praise quick and efficient service of flipkart...
product is semiautomatic.. hence appropriate pressure and time to pump air quickly can be adjusted manually....which cant be done in automatic ones
pump deflation is somewhat slow therefore may feel slight uncomfortable..but person gradually habituates to it... this problem also persists in automatic ones...
any gross movement of arm in which cuff is tied usually gives errenous readings...
still a better bp monitor than fully automatic ones... easy operation , manual adjustment and appropriate readings within range of +/- 5 mm Hg...

The device works well. It is not only handy and simple, but if properly mounted over brachial artery, it gives accurate result. I have tested many devices, from Sphygmomanometer to fully automated BP instruments. This device is optimum combination of hand pumping and digital monitoring. However, If AA battery can be accommodated, it will be better.
Conflict of interest: No conflicts. I am an Associate Professor. Teaching Biomedical Instrumentation at RTU, Kota. Have no links with the company. This opinion is unsolicited and unbiased.

I am SIMPLY amazed!
The product simply is great and I was looking for it for quite sometime (particularly semi-automatic model). Ultimately I found it on flipkart.com.
