After some decent research, found that Omron is the leader in making BP monitors. Checked Omron India website and found the model HEM 7201 is recently launched with host of features and for a decent price tag.

Seems to be a good product to have at home to have a fair estimate of your hypertension level. Also provides heart rate figures while measuring the blood pressure and indicator irregular heart beats also provided. Have no idea of accuracy of readings as against the routine mercury devices though the manual mentions it as plus or minus 3mm of mercury which I have not independently verified. One big advantage I feel is that white coat hypertension readings can be avoided with this device.

The readings are very accurate (I have crosschecked with mercury BP monitors). I have been using it for 6 months on all family members and very satisfied with the outcomes. It is definitely worth of its price.

I bought this BP monitor to keep check on my mom's BP. It's very easy to use if you follow the instruction given in the instruction manual.

It gives almost correct/real results (if you cross-verify with the manual mercury BP monitor) +/-10 is what this BP monitors gives which is acceptable.

GOt the product as promised no complaints with that. But the readings I got are very varied. Also the readings from arm are way off. I get better accurate readings with wrist. I think we are better off with buying a costlier product to get better readings as with this one I could never be sure.

Was looking for a BP monitor for my parents and this is the best one I came by. After consulting my friend who is a doctor, suggested me OMRON, MORPENE & PANASONIC as well know brands for BP Monitors.
I shortlisted this one because so far it has the maximum number of reviews, has the functionality to keep records of 2 users (60 readings each) and has been fairly accurate.
