Once Upon a Crime Syndicate: A Mafia Fairy Tale

FACT: Most of the fairy tales and nursery rhymes that we were told as children have been toned down over the years from their original (and more disturbing) versions. Violent stories about cross-dressing wolves gobbling up grandmothers and getting sliced open by brave woodsmen were sanitized. (He hid her in the closet.) And stories where the handsome prince marries the beautiful princess he just met (because he found her shoe) all just seem like some horrible reality TV show in this day and age. Once Upon A Crime Syndicate is a quirky, romantic comedy that involves re-imagined versions of our favorite fairytale characters. When a mafia kingpin brings his wooden puppet to life to carry on his empire, life couldn't be better for either of them. But when the puppet falls in love with a beautiful singer, he starts to question his calling in life. His search for answers takes him on a whirlwind journey from the seedy ghettos of Story Town to the slave labor camp known as Never Land.
