Book: One Hundred Years Of Solitude( Series - Harper Perennial Modern Classics )
One of the 20th century's enduring works, Marquez's masterpiece is the ultimate achievement in a Nobel Prize- winning career. Alternately reverential and comical, this novel weaves the political, personal, and spiritual to bring a new consciousness to storytelling.

"One Hundred Years of Solitude" tells the story of the rise and fall, birth and death of the mythical town of Macondo through the history of the Buendia family. Inventive, amusing, magnetic, sad, and alive with unforgettable men and women -- brimming with truth, compassion, and a lyrical magic that strikes the soul -- this novel is a masterpiece in the art of fiction.
Book Reviews of One Hundred Years Of Solitude( Series - Harper Perennial Modern Classics )
*Compulsory Reading
Review by Sumit Sharma
The magnitude of imagination and a statement which sporadically alerts you of what's coming next keep you grossed and wondering and reading the book in the funny positions that only the people around can notice. An intriguing, innovative and marvelously translated novel. You want to read it again and again, the book demands it. The simplicity of characters and complexity of story provokes a revision time and again, just when you realise that after having read it five times over what you'd missed out on. A noble investment, make it.
*One Hundred Years of Solitude: A Good Read
Review by Mellissa
As a book, this fiction unsettled me. However, in parts it was also very funny. I had to read it for A.P. English, and though it was the longest book I've ever read, I actually enjoyed it. Although it didn't change my life or anything, I am glad that I read it.
