Press 3 if your life has totally crashed. . . .
Six friends work nights at a call center in India, providing technical support for a major U.S. appliance corporation. Skilled in patience- and accent management- they help American consumers keep their lives running. Yet behind the headsets, everybody's heart is on the line.
Shyam (Sam to his callers) has lost his self-confidence after being dumped by the girl who just so happens to be sitting next to him. Priyanka's domineering mother has arranged for her daughter's upscale marriage to an Indian man in Seattle. Esha" "longs to be a model but discovers it's a horizontal romp to the runway. Lost, dissatisfied Vroom has high ideals, but compromises them by talking on the phone to idiots each night. Traditional Radhika has just found out that her husband is sleeping with his secretary. And Military Uncle (nobody knows his real name) sits alone working the online chat.
They all try to make it through their shifts- and maintain their sanity- under the eagle eye of a boss whose ego rivals his incompetence. But tonight is no ordinary night. Tonight is Thanksgiving in America: Appliances are going haywire, and the phones are ringing off their hooks. Then one call, from one very special caller, changes everything.
Chetan Bhagat's delicious romantic comedy takes us inside the world of the international call center, where cultural cross-wires come together with perfect pathos, hilarity, and spice.

Not come up on expectations Review by SiddharthI have been listening about this book from a long time that how this become a hot seller within nights. But I have to say after reading it and also watching the movie Hello, its not come up to expectations a s low as 25%. The story is very slow and not showed up what the call centres are really. Some points are good like the job cuts and our and their mind diffrence but the point when they call US that they have a PC virus is totaly shameless and ediot point. What do Chetan think, is that - that simple?
I give the book 2/5
In a word: Not worth try!

ENCOURAGING ! 'thats what frantic young generation urgently needs' Review by PramatheshThe book encourages d ambitious, hard working and rather frustrated new generation to accept their lot and be content coz nobody is perfect. What we are we are, thats it, live d reality, we can change it for better but no use escaping it. D mystery of god's call is inevitable coz d point could not hav been brought home without that.

a ray of hope for young readers Review by sarakiIt was a different experience for the language was not only simple but it was the language of the present generation. you feel one among the characters because as we read the story it seems as if you are transported to the world of college students or that of a callcentre. Above all young readers can easily read it for they hardly come across difficult words that may hinder their reading process.

valuable trash Review by SudiptoThis is the biggest trash I have ever read. Mr Bhagat knows the pulse of his target readers quite well & the application of that knowledge, which this book is, reflects his genius. I am pretty sure he can write stimulating stuff, but he knows few will read them. He is going after volume & I wish him all the best. If works like this can help take eyes off the idiot box, I would say its worth.
Was boring for me Review by Thakur Sandeep SinghNot bad overall, but little boring in the middle. The Romance between the main protagonist and the female leads goes a little too long, which makes it boring for me. Fore genuine readers, this is not such a great book at all. In fact, this is no where near Five Point Someone, the first one by Chetan.
