Summary Of The Book

This insightful text discusses how both teachers and students have been bound by an age-old academic model established in Prussia almost two centuries ago. An entire chapter is dedicated to the Khan Academy software as well. The author also stresses on the importance his core belief, which is the idea of removing educators from strict timetables and classrooms run by the State, and using them to conduct interactive lessons with students.

Khan Academy, founded by the author, is a free online education platform and a non-profit organization with an aim to change global education by providing accessible and world-class education for almost anyone situated anywhere. About Salman Khan

Salman Khan, born in 1976, is an American of Bangladeshi descent, and is a popular author, entrepreneur, ex-hedge fund analyst, and educator.

He is the founder of the Khan Academy, and was born in New Orleans, where he grew up. He graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and obtained an MBA degree from Harvard Business School. His organization won the 2009 Microsoft Tech Award for education, and he personally won the 2013 Posey Leadership Award by Austin College at the Perot Museum of Nature and Science. Khan currently resides in Mountain View, California, with his wife, Umaima Marvi, and their two children.
