He reveals the actions of the communists during the Quit India Movement, and the secret negotiations and understandings they struck with the British. He also follows up this treatise with an explanation of what the communists did to subvert Mahatma Gandhi’s movement and the reactions of the communists to the fall of USSR. This is an essential read for all history enthusiasts.
About Arun Shourie
Arun Shourie is an Indian journalist, writer and politician. A former economist with the World Bank, Shourie served as a consultant to the Planning Commission of India, editor of the Indian Express and The Times of India and a minister in the government of India.
A graduate of St. Stephen’s College in Delhi, Dr. Shourie obtained his PhD in Economics from Syracuse University in the United States. Some of his other books are: Eminent Historians: Their Technology, Their Line, Their Fraud, A Secular Agenda: For Saving Our Country, for Welding it, and Missionaries in India.
