Excellent - But NOT A BOOK TO START OPTICS With...

This Amazing Textbook by Prof Ghatak of IIT Delhi is by no doubt Great ... But this is absolutely NOT the Book to Start OPTICS with - the Base is slightly Weak and also have a few Basic topics left Uncovered to some extent - especially this book is NOT for someone who wants to Understand Optics very deeply. On the otherhand for them who have a fairly strong background in the basics of optics will be able to draw huge benefits from this book. It has many Higher Level Concepts discussed amazing...

Concepts taught in this book

I have not finished reading this book. But, the parts which I have finished reading have been explained very clearly and lucidly. It is perfect book for starters and it also contains advanced concepts. There are relevant diagrams which help to grasp the concepts better
