Orpat OPT-1057 Pop Up Toaster

Bought this as a spare toaster, hence not expecting the world. Pleasantly surprised with the product - able to take pretty wide bread slices, good smooth activate and pop-up actions, reasonably quick heating up and the "browning" level knob works fine. The manual states "wait a minute between 2 consecutive toastings" - that' the only thing that did not make sense to me.

The only drawbacks with this toaster - the cable length is pretty short - perhaps just 2 feet. This can be an advantage for some, but a problem for others. Otherwise - perfect product, does what it say and does it well.

The metal used for the inner parts (where we put the bread) is very bad. I used it one day and was happy. But next day I noticed that one of the bread will not go in completly. When I saw it from top, I could see that one of the base has come out of its channel. I used a spoon to push it back in. Used it once and the moement it popped out the bread, the alignment was gone again.

Its not good if you want to use regularly. Better add some more money and but a Philips one.

I have written to Flipkart to take back the product and am waiting for their response.

Last month, I had bought this toaster from flipkart... After reading all the "very good" reviews... However, sadly this toaster did NOT work properly for me... Hence, flipkart sent me a new replacement, within 2 days... Sadly, the new toaster also had the same issues / defects / problems... Hence, had to return that one too and got a full-refund back (Rs. 799.00 is now saved in my flipkart wallet).

The issues are as follows:

1. The 'pop-up' handle got stuck and it did NOT come-up.
2. The 'cancel' button did NOT work, hence, my toasts got burnt badly.
3. The cord is very small but the toaster (white) looks very cute.

P.S. -- The overall service provided by Flipkart was very quick, good and positive.

Bought this toaster and as usual flipkart's packaging and delivery was commendable. The product was delivered within 2 days.

This Orpat toaster works exactly as it should. Operation is flawless, toasts are crisp even at point 3(indicator)and it does it real quick. The defrost function also works smoothly. Very economical on electricity consumption and time.

However, there are two complains, cable length is too short. The toaster is best kept within 2 feet of the electrical outlet. And the looks are a bit cheap and tacky. Considering the price - half that of other regular toasters - this is one compromise which is acceptable. Overall, its value for money. Paisa Vasool.

Bought this one from Flipkart on 04th of Feb 2012 and it got delivered within 3/4 days. The packaging was firm and superb. I have an old Murphy Rechards Pop-up toaster in working condition, so I was looking for a cheaper product this time. Bought this one because it was the cheapest one with many decent reviews, and it proved to be a good choice. The product is cool, has all the features which are available in other brands. The only short coming that I could see, is the small wire provided, but considering its price, I must say that its a really nice choice.
