Our moon has blood clots.... Must Read....... Must Read

This book took me back to the times of the exodus... I remember the days vividly till date. Being 8 years of age at that time I couldn't understand that my winter vacations at school would be my last adieu there. This well charted manuscript written in a lucid and crystal clear manner sheds the profane mannerism of the majority community over there. I was shaken and had a chill running down my spine while I read page after page. The horrific atmosphere prevalent that time was being recreated ...

    Our Moon has blood clots

I should start by saying that our history has huge gaps....I heard about this book on NDTV's program on Kashmiri Pandits and I ordered it in Kindle edition. I could not keep it down until I had finished it because finally I was learning about the plight of the Pandits; raw,as it happened with no efforts at glossing over the harsh reality of this ethnic cleansing in Modern India.
While living in Delhi I was a witness to the trickle of Pandits into Delhi and daily saw their pathetic little wood...

Well Documented events of Author's life

If this account of the events of the author’s life is read by every secularist, they would understand what it means to be a secularist. Best quote of the book “Major Saab, I lost my home, not my Humanity". Being human is what matters in this world and I could foresee it will be a rare virtue to be seen in the homosapiens in the coming days.

I admire the writer for his bold way to say that they invaded us.

I pity the sad state of affairs in JK. All we can hope is that India regains the lan...

    A must read

This book is a must read for all the Indians, because it really exposes the lies that the GOI had been projecting to the public on the issue of Kashmir for years. It scares me when I try to put myself in the shoes of the Kashmiri Pandits. If it can happen in Kashmir, it can happen anywhere in India. What if it happens to one of us? That is the thought which really sends shivers down my spine. It is sad to see successive governments not taking toll of the Kashmir situation and trying to come u...

A true representation of the Kashmiri's wounds!!

This book was recommended by one of my friend, who is himself a Kashmiri Pandit and a victim of exodus from Kashmir due to Militancy in 90s. The books defines the kind of mindset Kashmir was holding with itself right from an era of partition between India and Pakistan. It also honestly and bravely depicts the way Pandits were targeted and betrayed by their own muslim friends and neighbors.. Excellent book

Great and brave book...all Indians must read it to understand the plight of KPs

Great book, and more than great book it is a brave book that not many can even think to write in the so called secular country like India.

But I am not happy with the inclusion of Guj riots and subsequent abuse to RSS in this book, it was completely irrelevant and at the same time, abuse to RSS was too baseless. I do not doubt the secular and liberal credentials of Rahul Pandita, but am still not sure that why in India, a person can not prove his secular or liberal credentials without abusi...

    Just wow!

A true example of How Bad the Religious Fanaticism can get!
Rahul's personal experiences alongwith the stories of other Kashmiri Pandits, Our Moon has Blood Clots, is a must read for every Indian.
To realise, how little do we know about the kashmiris, their culture, the atrocities they faced in the 90s & further,
This is 2020, and justice hasn't prevailed yet for them.

    An honest and savage account

This is a savage, dead-on-honest account of an "uncool", unfashionable" episode of modern India, which hasn't got any sort of recognition from any corner. We talk about minorities, their status in the country, how to improve their lives blah, blah, blah, but never spare a thought for the minority Hindu pandits living in J&K. This book is a resounding slap in the face of this hypocrisy. As Mr. Ramachandra Guha rightly pointed out, "Every paragraph of this compelling memoir rings deeply true".
