Book: Outliers: The Story Of Success
Gladwell embarks on an intellectual journey through the world of "outliers"--the best and the brightest and the most successful. He investigates what makes high-achievers different by looking at their culture, family, generation, and the idiosyncratic experiences of their upbringing.

In this stunning new book, Malcolm Gladwell takes us on an intellectual journey through the world of "outliers"--the best and the brightest, the most famous and the most successful. He asks the question: what makes high-achievers different? His answer is that we pay too much attention to what successful people are like, and too little attention to where they are from: that is, their culture, their family, their generation, and the idiosyncratic experiences of their upbringing. Along the way he explains the secrets of software billionaires, what it takes to be a great soccer player, why Asians are good at math, and what made the Beatles the greatest rock band.

Brilliant and entertaining, OUTLIERS is a landmark work that will simultaneously delight and illuminate.

*What an idea Sirji!
Review by M A Ravinder
Malcolm Gladwell comes up with yet another un-put-downable book.

Think you are an expert in any field? Yes, provided you have at least 10K hours of experience in that field.

Get a glimpse into the fascinating world of identifying patterns between airline accidents taking place across different parts of the world that have a similar culture.

Next time I would like Malcolm to look at the Asia map a bit more carefully. There is a country called India. Heard that name Malcolm?
*It's not even a book!
Review by Anuj Mittal
It's just a collection of facts in public domain! Malcolm Gladwell has taken example of some of the famous personalities to come up with a theory that all your successes are a product of a lot of factors that are beyond your control.

The problem with his theory is that I can take some other data set to prove exactly the opposite thesis. I think Tipping Point and Blink are much better.
*EXcellent

amazing book. Gladwell collects facts and puts them in context. Everyone knows the stories, but to put them in a context is a great deal.
