    A great literary experience.

Outliers is a book centered around the statistical aspects of the lives of successful people. The author gives evidence of how certain factors contribute largely towards success in life. He gives examples of how the month of birth of ice hockey players affect their chances of becoming professional atheletes, how the year of birth affected Bill Gates' childhood and learning environment which ultimately played a key role in his success. The author mentions the 10,000 hour rule, which claims tha...

    Brilliant!

This is as good a book that you will find. It betters its already brilliant predecessors.. Blink and The tipping point. Unbelievably good analysis of why people succeed. Might prove a little long(but very important for your understanding) and especially the last chapter but but by that time you will be overwhelmed enough to be enjoying whatever he has to throw at you. Don't think twice before reading it.

    Success flipped on it's head

This book takes the common paradigm of success and tears it shreds. Suddenly you have an insight into those success stories which biographers chose to ignore and gives you the real picture.

Tons of research papers and decades of investigation is squeezed into this book and every little study will hold your interest because that's what the distinct narrative does to you. Grip you.

A single reading of this book will never suffice, but a single read it enough to open you to a whole damn world.

    A new meaning to Success.

Motivational/Self Help books define success as a result of extreme hardwork or smartwork. Gladwell introduces us to an unknown dimension and proposes a theory where in all successful persons have/had some favourable conditions that put them to paths of glory. However, one should not doubt their capabilities and their success stories. Chapters such 10,000 hours can make you realise the importance of practise. The lives of Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Beetels have been quoted as examples. Lastly but ...
