On the day of his last medical exam, Danny Benson receives a letter from his fiancée Heather. It is short and says that their engagement is off! She is in London and from there she will travel overland to Kathmandu, Nepal!
Danny is confused, shattered, bewildered. Why?
Madly in love, refusing to accept what fate is handing out, he decides to set out on a journey that will take him thousands of miles away from home in search of Heather. Just for that one last conversation, the hope of rekindling their relationship. When he finally finds Heather, she is in a country that is at the crossroads of civilization. They spend the entire ride debating whether to stay together or break up forever.
Instead of resolution, their moment of truth turns into a collision with history.
About The Author
Mark Stephen Levy has travelled extensively through the Himalayan region, this imbues his writing with a streak of realism and almost makes his fiction an insider’s view of history.He drew upon some of his experiences (falling in love with his French wife while in India) to create portions of the story within OVERLAND.
He is a native of Los Angeles and currently lives in Denver, Colorado with his wife and daughter.
