Pages Of Prayer And Praise

Writing has been my way to communicate my sentiments, passions and dreams throughout my life. It has been only in the years after retirement that I have been serious about being published. My poems and articles have been in Capper's, a publication out of Topeka. I suffered a stroke at the age of seventy-seven. During my recovery, a poem describing the frustration and anguish of my loss of speech was published in The Stroke Connection, a magazine associated with the American Heart Association. It has somehow become my "signature poem" as I still struggle to speak legibly. This collection of poems covers a period of over 60 years. I am now 86, widowed, and I live alone with my computer, books and great memories. My two sons, their wives, my grandchildren, and my great-grandchildren are my most loyal readers.
