Painting The Future: A Tales of Everyday Magic Novel (English) (Paperback) Price: Rs.199

Painting The Future: A Tales Of Everyday Magic Novel presents the power of positive thinking, through the story of a resentful man healed by the transforming presence of his eleven-year-old neighbour.

Summary Of The Book

Painting The Future: A Tales Of Everyday Magic Novel presents the story of Jonathan Langley, a man shattered by a harsh personal tragedy. Jonathan’s life was plunged into a downward spiral when a rare disease cost him his eyesight. Now, he inhabits a world of absolute darkness, angry at the cruelty of life and the whole world in general. He refuses to leave his apartment, stewing in his misery and resentment.

But, his eleven-year-old neighbour, Lupe, fixes herself firmly in his desolate life. Her cheerfulness and sheer vitality begin to peel away the dark layers of his embittered existence, revealing the gentle soul he was before tragedy struck. Lupe’s healing presence, coupled with her love and compassion teach Jonathan to embrace life once again.

The book, based on the author’s motivational teachings, introduces the readers to the power of positive thinking, helping them learn to overcome past struggles and begin life anew. It was published in 2012 by Hay House Visions.

About The Authors

Louise L. Hay is an American author. She is also the founder of the publishing firm Hay House and the charitable organization Hay Foundation.

She has written books such as You Can Create An Exceptional Life, Everyday Positive Thinking, Hay, Love Your Body, Modern Day Miracles, You Can Heal Your Life, 101 Ways To Happiness, and The Adventures of Lulu: Three Stories to Help Build Self-Esteem and Courage in Children.

Her writing is motivational and primarily belongs to the self-help genre. It explores various aspects of New Thought.

Louise Hay was born on October 8, 1926, in Los Angeles, California, United States. After facing a turbulent childhood, a teen pregnancy, and a series of low-paying jobs, she moved to New York and went on to become a successful fashion model. A failed marriage left her devastated. Around this time, she was introduced to the transformative power of positive thought by the First Church of Religious Science. Her subsequent acceptance of the New Thought philosophy healed her past traumas to some extent. In the late 1970s, she was diagnosed with cervical cancer, which eventually prompted her to conclude that the disease was the result of firmly holding on to past resentments. Subsequently, after refusing medical help, she turned to alternative forms of therapy and succeeded in ridding herself of cancer. Over the years, she has been actively involved in healing people and introducing them the power of positive thinking. In 2008, her life’s work earned her the Minerva Award at The Women’s Conference.

Lynn Lauber is an author, book collaborator, and teacher.

She has authored books like White Girls, and Listen To Me: Writing Life Into Meaning. She has also co-authored various books such as Getting Old Without Getting Anxious, Entanglement: A Tales of Everyday Magic Novel, and My Greatest Teacher.

Her writing includes fiction and non-fiction. It has a special focus on personal narrative and self-improvement.

Engrossing

Though a small a book, with just 100+ pages, its extremely informative and engrossing. The book shows the use and importance of affirmations, believing in oneself and positive thinking. Certainly recommend reading this book.

A must read for all!!

Painting the Future is a story that has touched me like no other story has ever before. The beautiful portrayal of the importance of having good thoughts and being aware of what we are thinking, by Little Lupe is simply beautiful. I have also watched the movie and the message in the story is so profound and is exactly what everyone needs to be reminded of today. Thank you Hay House for these beautiful ways that you touch our lives.

He discovers the power of Kindness, compassion and love.
The book brings back a fragrance of Silas Manor. The narrative is flat and does not inspire the affirmations and the power of affirmations are lost within the meandering and predictable storyline, the haughty rich girl losing her wealth , the negative filled mother, the repentant father. Even the so called twist is a predictable one.
