Panasonic Cube 1.5 Tons - CS-ZC20NKY Split AC

Bought this 1.5 ton cube ac about 3 weeks ago. And all i can say is WOW !!! In searing hyderabad Heat of 40+ degrees this just brings the mercury level down in less than 15 minutes. That too in my fifth floor west facing apt bedroom, with west facing and south facing glass windows in a 14*12 room approx.

Surprisingly it's moisture removal ability is really good for a ac that cools fast, giving you a very comfortable climate in your room even when the compressor is off, unlike some other AC s where you can feel the humidity in the air when the compressor is off.

Only downside is fan is noisy in meduim and high setting (but who needs a high or medium fan when the lowest setting cools this fast). What i do is use the AC blower on low setting, and use my regular ceiling fan as well. These 2 combine really well.

Also the AC Remote is not backlit, making it difficult to operate at night. The unit also deos not have a temperature display.

These are minor issues. The cooling of this AC is much better and really fast compared to many other split ACs of the same tonnage.

I was always bit skeptical like others since there were no reviews available online. After 2 weeks of usage this is what I found

Pros
- Faster Cooling compared to any of peers
- Easier to Clean the Air Filters
- For Sure Value for Money

Cons
- Little bit nosier if running fast. With low mode it doesn't make even a whisper and i dont see a reason to run it on medium/fast mode as it super cools within 10-15 min on low
- Remote doesn't have a back light
- No Screen Display on AC

let me clear you ,it is a hybrid type ac as its size is different than both categories of ac.

it comes with a remote control showing temperature and has following buttons
on/off
temp up/down
fan speed
timer

it has auto restart option
its cooling is effective but its build quality is filmsy,its indoor unit is a little bit HUGE and is very thick and its construction is like a evaporator coil mesh backed by a simple exhaust cooler like fan which MAKES NOISE and it has no swing option and its indoor unit has just an green led light and on/off button.
-9 feet piping is provided with the package and for rest you have to spend approx rs.1000 per additional foot distance.

but keeping in mind its price ,noise and swing options are not lacking as you dont even get a good window ac in this price

Just purchased from Reliance Digital. It is 1.7 ton. This a/c is noisy on high speed of fan. The cooling rather is felt more on slowest fan's speed. The area covered is just straight as no vents on this. It would have been better if the manufacturer at least would have provided front manually operated grill, so that one could enjoy the flow of the air and control its direction. Also it need to be installed at lower level to feel its air on your body. One cannot enjoy otherwise the coolness while lying on sofa or bed. Overall not fully satisfied. One cannot compare it with split a/c. It's just to meet your requirement due to not able to install the split a/c and to fill up your requirement instead of using pedestal fan or air cooler.

What else you can expect from 1.5 Ton AC. I bought this in AC in Rs: 19000 directly from Panasonic showroom in GIP, Noida. I am using it from 1 month and my experience is awesome. With in 5 mins it makes you room chilled. Noida and whole NCR is very bad in summers but even in this peak summer I sleep with a blanke and also it controles the moisture, timer facility is also there,,, what else I expect from a AC.

N ya, people say that it produces a lot of noice,,, Boss, it's nothing like that... It produces a little noice, more of less like a window AC thats it...
