Panasonic Lumix DMC LX5 Point & Shoot Camera  (Black)

The next model LX7 is out but still not available here - and is only slightly higher priced to this one. Flipkart should get the LX7.

The LX7 is a Panasonic version of the Leica D-LUX6 (and the LX5 is like Leica D-Lux5) - something like the difference between a Vento and Rapid.

BTW if you are into tech specs this camera is not for you - more for the artist or artist wannabes like me:)

This will also be your first step to using higher end Leicas like M9 :D

I am a geeeeek...so I will keep this simple...and write only what matters..

Other than what you would have already googled and found out..

1. Lightning fast AF....no other camera (in this class) comes close.
2. Fast Lens....sharp handheld pics possible without firing the inbuilt flash in normal home lighting. In functions etc..where there is ample lighting, you get even better pics.

I have purchase this awesome camera….it’s functions and picture quality is really appreciable. The flash power is very strong as even in total dark. Vibrating or running image can be captured perfectly. 10.1 Megapixels with 3.8x optical zoom and 4x Digital Zoom is very sharp for any environment for a point and shoot camera at this price. HD recording works very well. Over all a great buy at this decent price.
