Panasonic XH50 5.1 Home Theatre System

First of all I did not buy this from Flipkart as they won't deliver to my area.
I got it at more or less the same price as Flipkart once I bargained with the dealer after showing him the Flipkart page :D

Its a decent product and the build quality shows. Very nicely made and the product feels sturdy. Package came with most of the things you would need.

Wires for the satellite speakers are only adequate for medium sized room and come only in contrasting white color which I really hated.

Speakers sound pretty awesome given the price and I seriously didn't have much high expectations & please don't let their small size fool you.

Sound is crisp & clear you have some serious bass in here with the downfiring subwoofer although controlling that bass reverb is another challenge.

The DVP part of the package has basic controls but handles most of the formats pretty well.
The HD upscaling is pretty awesome specially if you have a large screen TV and DVD quality media.

The only biggest drawback I found with the DVP is that it doesn't support subtitles for DivX file formats which is lame. I have a large collection of foreign language films which will now be useless because of this limitation of the product.

I just bought the system 2 weeks back. Was playing music with mp3's placed on the USB stick. After a couple of days I realised that the the same set of songs kept playing.

In the morning I tested the system and was very surprised to learn that the USB Player does not play mp3's on inside File Folders. For e.g.

G:\Singing in the Rain.mp3 will play but
G\FrankSinatra\Singing in the Rain.mp3 will not play

When I checked up the Specs sheet again today, it says - USB Playback Support: Yes.

In today's technology even when tiny MP3 players play the files in the folders, all car systems play any MP3's stored anywhere, regardless the folders, it is very disappointing to realise that a Home Theatre system will not play it. It makes listening to much through USB very inconvenient. This feature is a no-brainer and why would I even imagine that such a facility does not exist!

Buyers beware, of just the word "USB Playback Support: Yes". It does not also play a 32 GB USB...

I hope I could get this system returned, but Flipkart says, no. I very well understand that I cannot exchange in case of a feature issue, however this is really not sharing the full inclusions and exclusions as per today's technology expectations.

Anyhow, this system is now Out of Stock!

I have been searching for a good 5.1 speeker for listening to music only!!

So while searching a speaker in an electronic mall I heard a nice bass and nice quality clear music. That sound draged me towards it and I discovered a nice HTS and I was amazed from its price.

The very next step I visited Panasonic store and owned it, since then I am glad and admire its sound quality with in class only

Plus points:-
Down firing
Classic Bass
Clear sound
Do not break sound even on high volume
sexy surround sound
Good for small room
While watching HD Movie you feel that you are in Multiplex
Got service confirmation call from Panasonic CC, and that assures me for good service afterwards, as what I can think of from that call :)

Negative Points:-
Its been 4 months I am using this product and didn't find any issues.... touch wood

After a long time I was buying a sound system and so I was naturally very cautious, considering the speed at which audio tech is getting obsolete these days.
After a lot of discussions with informed people and having a look at the features of the systems on offer from competitors, I finally decided to go for Panasonic XH50. This is a good system for a beginner like me at a good cost,, VALUE FOR MONEY. The surround sound feature is a pleasure to listen to , if and only if you have arranged the speakers properly. Overall I am enjoying the system and am totally satisfied with the value for the money I have paid..

THIS WAS A VERY GREAT EXPERIENCE REGARDING HOME THEATER AS I WAS SEARCHING FOR THE SYSTEM UNDER MY BUDGET AND I GOT IT WITH ALL FUNCTION WHICH I WANTED NOT THE SAME MODEL BUT EQUIVALENT TO IT,WITH THE SAME OUTPUT.

2.CRYSTAL CLEAR SOUND
3.GOOD FOR MY LIVING ROOM
4.NO OTHER CHOICE EXCEPT THIS
5.THE BEST PART SOUND DOES NOT CRACKS EVEN ON THE MAXIMUM
AFTER SURVEY OF AROUND 5 YEARS I HAVE PURCHASED THIS SYSTEM,AND I AM VERY MUCH SATISFIED.
