Parker Frontier Matte Black CT Fountain Pen

Recently received the shipment from flipkart. Hats off for the smooth delivery system. I am too happy with flipkart. as for the pen:

Pros: exquisitely stylish looking. ( for some reason it looks very much similar to the Parker sonnet, the only difference being the nib quality) It writes gracefully on a smooth paper.

Cons: Nib is way too fine and scratchy. very difficult to pick up speed if u r a regular fountain pen user. I would humbly add that Parker Vector (old ones) are smoother.

P.S: I would request flipkart administrators to add the nib grade as an essential detail with all fountain pens. It would be a great help to us fountain pen lovers

If you love ink pens.

This is one of the best pen, in its range. Compared it with vector and from my experience the smoothness and consistency and flow can be well compare to expensive pens.

Recently bought this pen from flipkart. Hats off to them for delivering it within 48 hours.
I'm fond of fountain pens and I have been using expensive pens like Waterman, Shaeffar, Tommy Hilfiger, Faber Castle and Cartier. Believe me the nib is so smooth and it writes so well much better than the usual Waterman pens. This is at par with any Shaeffer pen. Just close your eyes and place an order.

This pen is really good . The grip is nice and grippy . The body of the pen has a nice texture too . Once refilled it can write for approx 8 pages plus or minus one page . I know it sounds less but one part of the fun of taking a fountain pen is to refill it . The nib has a good thickness to it . The black and silver colour looks very nice and attractive . Black and silver always matches . There is a ball in the refill which checks for cakes and clogging . The shirt clip is looks cool . The pen is heavy so u wont feel you are using a cheap pen , but like a premium pen
If you think that the silver frontier and the matte black with golden nib is too flashy then this is a good choice
**first time fountain pen purchasers - dont forget to take a ink pot with it as it ships without ink parker suggests "quick" , on flipkart you get three for 150 rs which is a good deal
**Also someone said the brand name is not written on the pen this is not true

My general experience with Flipkart so far has been excellent.

But my experience with purchase of pens has been disappointing. I bought three Parker pens. The nib in two of these pens has not been in good condition.

I bought them based on the reviews I saw elsewhere. I can believe that these must be good pens.

That makes me wonder why I got ones with damaged nibs. I wonder if Flipkart has a means to ensure that the pens supplied to them are the best quality pens? Or, because of the discount they get second quality manufacture?

In any case at least when it comes to pens I want to be more careful about online purchases.

I must clarify that as a pen-lover I treat all my pens with utmost care. The trouble with the nibs was there right from then time I bought the pens. Because of the trouble with the nibs I have not used them much either.
