Parker Frontier Matte Black (Gold Nib) GT Fountain Pen Reviews

I received my Fountain pen and am I DELIGHTED ? YIPPEEEE - I am going to write all day today.

What a delight to receive the Fountain pen by courier a few minutes ago (less than 48 hours after ordering that too because 1st May, yesterday was a public holiday and couriers were not delivering). Awesome service FLIPKART - you ROCK guys. This quality of service is better than any even my friends in the developed countries experience. Flipkart has really changed the game in online purchases and delivery, not to mention quality.

Talking about quality, well what should I say. The packing was just right - as always - goods packed so that they are delivered in the manner they should be - in one piece, without any damage.

The Pen itself is like music in my hands. I feel a rush of adrenalin and joy when I hold it. It has a nice matte finish, so it feels secure in my hand. It has the right weight (not too flimsy and not to heavy - just right). The finish and product quality is as good as any (oh by the way, I am a proud owner of a couple of Waterman fountain pens), and I must say that the Parker pen does not feel inferior in any way.

If there is one small wish I would make to Flipkart folks, that would be - why don't you guys bundle in (for extra charge if you wish) - at least one black and one blue ink cartridges ? That way, we can get started as soon as the pen arrives.

I had to go hunt out my Ink bottle to get started today. But no cribs. See you folks, I am off to write with my new writing instrument - my latest "Awesome Pen (Parker Frontier Matte Black Gold Nib) GT Fountain pen"

I bought this pen as a gift for someone and I was really apprehensive, I received this pen well on time.
1) The nib is amazing, super soft and the contrast being that it allows good speed unlike many fountain pens.
2) It's worth the money and if you want to buy a fountain pen, I can personally say it's a helluva buy.

I bought this pen along with Pierre Cardin Masterpiece Fountain Pen from flipkart. The deliver time for both pens took 5 days from the date of placing orders. I opted for Cash on Delivery and no hassles on this front. The pen itself scores a perfect 5/5 in looks. Once the cap is opened the nib was a bit disappointing, 3/5 for me. The nib of Pierre Cardin scores 5/5 in this aspect and that too at a price of only Rs.350/- The writing is smooth, but in comparison to Pierre Cardin is disappointing. At Rs. 500/- Parker could have atleast provided an Iridium tipped more quality nib. Better to buy Parket Vector costing only Rs.150/- as the quality in writing is very much the same.

Bought this pen from flipkart couple of weeks back....horrible thing...the nib scratches a lot...worst pen i have ever used...tried using it a lot..the nib does'nt improve...i had better experience with my 100 bucks schneider..in fact none of the parker purchased have gone well till now...

I Have been a ardent fan of The Parker Range of products from Sonnet to Rialto to Insgnia to Vector even to Frontier Roller pen.... but this product The Frontier Fountain Pen in a real 'Disgrace' to the Range & Brand...

Looks great inside the box but the functional value is 'Zilch' ... The Nib writes like 'Sand Paper'

If you are looking for some writing pleasure pls. avoid this one it's 'Disappointing Beyond Expression' .... !

The nib is not smooth to write at all. It is also thin. I must admit that i had to get he first piece replaced within 15 days. There was a problem in the ink-flow. Whenever i opened the pen to write, it failed to write. Either I had to shake it vigorously or press the nib the other side to begin the flow of ink. It became embarrassing when i had to sign in front of people. I mean this is PARKER, not an ordinary brand.
I have used fountain pens all my life...that is more so in school and college days. My first experience with branded fountain pens was the PARKER VECTOR. I would highly recommend PARKER VECTOR whose nib is by far better than the frontier's.
I still have a parker vector bought 8-10 years back. Its nib is smooth and the flow of ink is great.
However the new piece of parker frotier that i got after replacement did solve the ink-flow problem, but the nib is far from being smooth and it tears off a weak paper while signing.

its really an awesome experience to write with this beauty. its more comfortable for exams where one have to write continuously for 2 to 3 hours.

NOTE: Its better to use the Parker Quink inks for better results

No other comment except the caption. Buy and use it to know it. Price is less as compared to market. I agree, the quality will show after use of a month. Definitely an Owner's Pride. Everyday you will get comments on the pen, guaranteed.
