Parker Frontier Stainless Steel GT Fountain Pen

I own several Parker fountain pens and this pen happens to be one of my recent purchases. The pen looks great. The body is of fine steel and chrome. Has a beautiful golden long nib. The only trouble that I faced was the first time I refilled it. When I opened the cap I found ink flowing through the nib, draining the converter completely. The cap was full of ink. I washed the instrument thoroughly (which my fellow fountain pen users will understand). Since then, I have no issues with the pen. It's nib is truly unparallel, one of the smoothest I have ever used. Overall its a nice buy... :)

The feel of the nib on paper is buttery smooth, just slightly on the wet side of average ink flow, which I like. The pen will write with very little pressure and although there isn't a lot of line variation the nib is springy and doesn't mind having plenty of pressure applied

I prefer the ink pen to ball pens because writing with the ink pen takes less effort but good ink pens are difficult to find in a market crowded with ball pens. Parker Frontier Stainless Steel GT (Chrome) has all the qualities I look for in a good ink pen for every day use- the name of 'Parker' inspires confidence of quality, the appearence is distinguishing enough to make it look classy, it is light enough to hold,it writes well effortlessly, and the beckalite neck makes it easy to grip, unlike the all steel pens. I would have preferred to have a better ink piston with slightly more ink holding capacity to make refilling less frequent, but you can't have everything you want always!

The body of the pen is good however the quality of the nib is very bad. I got a F nib so I was expecting it to be a bit scratchy. The nib is very scratchy and the writing is not fine either. I have a frontier with an M nib and that is much better. There is not much difference in the thickness of the writing but the M is way smoother. A Waterman of Lamy F is way finer than this and way less scratchy. Not worth if you are buying F.

I purchased Parker Frontier Fountain pens. They are excellant as writing instruments for day to day use. They are sturdy , body made of stainless steel and as a single unit.The nib is also nice. Delivery was in about ten days. I strongly recommend this product who are fond of writing by Ink pens.
