Book Reviews of Passport To A Healthy Pregnancy
Specific to Pregnant Women in India Review by Dr. Anand MitraPassport to A Healthy Pregnancy is a brilliantly crafted and illustrated work of significant scientific standing, with special focus on Indian Women. The book comes across as a very reliable guide to the experience of pregnancy across the various stages. Written by Dr. Gita Arjun, a world-rekowned OB-GYN specialist and one that has gained recognition from peers and the scientific community across the globe for her outstanding contributions (through practise and research) to the field of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
The sections in the book are laid out for you in lucid prose and the illustrations, images and page lay-outs are top drawer. This is, without doubt, a significant milestone in Indian medical writing on Pregnancy. Many books adorn the shelves of book shops, with pretty pictures and lots and lots of diet plans. But no book does it with such clinical accuracy, empathy and clarity. Must Buy, in my opinion, especially for the Pregnant Woman and her Husband - even more so, if they be Indian.

What a book! Review by Vani SatyadevThe Passport to a Healthy Pregnancy is a book written by Dr. Gita Arjun, a very famous Obstetrician and Gynaecologist from Chennai. She is based out of Chennai, and her book is a wealth of information on healthy eating and exercise for Pregnant Women from India, in specific, and around the world in general. The book offers a wealth of information including FAQs about pregnancy, stage-by-stage guide to Pregnancy, and details of the various tests that pregnant women must undertake, and at what intervals.
The illustrations dominate the book, and help us engage with the book visually. The book also offers tips for the entire family on how to help and assist Women during their Pregnancies, and tries to set right some common myths about Pregnancy. It is a comprehensive book for Pregnant Women in India, and I will advise my friends and family to buy it whenever they need it. This is the right book to gift to someone you know who is pregnant!
