The Path

In "The Path," author Michael Rahlfs uses vivid spiritual imagery as he shares the tale of a simple peasant's struggle to live a life of faith in a world full of cruelty and evil.

A simple man in a simple world, the peasant herds his sheep before Sunday Mass, innocent of the dangers he will soon face. Suddenly attacked by a host of demonic beings, he scrambles through the forest, desperate to escape their evil grasp. Fearing his ultimate destruction, the peasant turns to his faith, praying that the Lord will have mercy upon him.

In a burst of blinding light, an angel gives the peasant a huge, burdensome cross and points him down a dark and winding path. The peasant finds himself in a terrifying world of death and pain, where he encounters more demonic forces. With doubt and despair his only companions, the peasant embarks upon a journey that tests the strength of his beliefs and leads him to a clearer understanding of God's will.

"The Path" is a tale of good versus evil that demonstrates the tremendous power of prayer and the value of faith in each of our lives.
