A Path Not Chosen

Phil Goodhand, grandfather of Jazzmin Warner, escorts his granddaughter to the bathroom while her mother, Nicole Warner, directs the play in the school auditorium. While he waits outside the bathroom, the young child is kidnapped. She is removed through a second exit of the bathroom and disappears. Seven years later the mother is no longer a teacher, she is a drug addict and stripper while the grandfather is a derelict living day to day in a shelter. Both of them took the path they are on because of the loss of Jazzmin. The grandfather hears of a person that may be able to assist him on not taking the path he has traveled. Trying everything and anything, from witchcraft to voodoo, he finds a Mr. Readu who gives him some hope. Returning to a time shortly before the kidnapping, Phil goes about his day as usual with no memory of the other time line. The only clue he has of a possible problem is the nightmarish visions and dreams he is having of himself as a derelict. A wasted shell of his daughter is in these visions but the granddaughter is missing. These visions intensify as the night of the kidnapping grows closer. He knows something is coming and thinks the granddaughter is the key, but he has very little info to go on.
