The witty satire!
VIEW FROM MY BIOSCOPE
A good script is said to find it's way through, but needn't always. And definitely not when it crawls from the pile stacked on Aamir Khan's desk. And if it does, you've hit the nail. BINGO! you are just a mile away from B-town!

Aamir Khan Productions' delivered yet another gem that not only marveled the Indian fabric but also gained popularity in international circuits with it's official entry in the 83rd Academy Award Best Foreign Film Category. Anusha Rizvi's directorial debut Peepli[LIVE] which released on August 13th,2010 made a stunning impact on it's viewers with it's unique plot,crisp narration,unflawed execution,impeccable performances by a pool of fresh faces from the theater groups and much much more. Indian Ocean's music does justice to the geographical backdrop of this satire about modern India. The effervescence of subtle comedy paired with the reality of rural civilization is what stays through in this 104 minute feature film.
STORY
Peepli[LIVE] is the tale of Natha Das Manikpuri a farmer who resides with his family in the backward land of Peepli, a village somewhere in the heart of India. Indebted to many, Natha and his elder brother Budhia get to know about a government scheme which can rid them off the huge amounts of loan to be repaid. 'The farmer dies and his family benefits'. This sole description encourages Natha to take the road of committing suicide! Peepli[LIVE] is the story of Natha's decision which gradually turns into a subject of national interest and food for the world of journalism! The once barren land of Peepli is now a bustling bee-hive of journalists and many others waiting to witness the conclusion.
