Summary of the Book

Marcus Atkinson is a nine-year-old who loves math and does not like sports. But, fortunately, he has a motivational writer for a father who has a completely different perception of his son and has set different objectives for him. He strongly believes that Marcus is a soccer star in the making. He thus convinces his unwilling son to play soccer. So, much against his will, Marcus is forced to practice the sport. He recalls his past sporting honors - last to finish different types of races. Not an inspiring track record, but left with no choice, Marcus goes after his father's dreams. He decides to start writing his experiences in a diary, but not for the reason his father told him to keep a diary. A hilarious account of a boy who tries to fulfil his father's dreams, and also pursues his own.
