Percy Jackson And The Titan's Curse 01 Edition (Paperback) Price: Rs.252

It's not every day you find yourself in hand-to-claw combat with a half-lion, half-human.

But when you're the son of a Greek god, these things happen. All I was trying to do was bring two new demigods back to camp. But the arrival of the manticore changed everything. Now my friend Annabeth is missing, a goddess is in chains and the general of the Titans wants to unleash a tribe of skeleton warriors on the world.

This is the one where only five of us heroes can join the dangerous quest to defeat the doomsday monster – and our camp's Oracle has predicted that not all of the chosen five will survive . . .

The myth of Atlas revisited

Percy Jackson and the curse of the Titans,
Author: Rick Riordon
Publisher Puffin
ISBN 978-0-141-32126-4
The third of the Percy jackson series brings alive the curse of Atlas, the gaint son of Titan and oceanid Asia. The God’s who help in the quest are Artemis and her legion of hunters.
The book refers to the myth of the golden apples fleetingly.
He also refers to the creation of the fabled sword of Hercules, the reappearance of Nemian Lion.
After introducing the demigod offspring of Zeus in the previous book, now it is turn of Hades offspring to make their appearance,
A very interesting observation made is by a charecter Tyson the cyclop where he says”father cares, I asked for help and he sent me a brother.” I very subtle way of saying count your blessings.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Rick Riordon is an award-winning mystery writer. He has worked as middle-school teacher for 15yrs. He is now a full time author and lives in San Antoniowith his family. The Lost Heroes of Olympus, The Kane Chronicles are the other series from this writer.
Over all a good read.

BETTER THAN THE FIRST TWO PARTS

Percy Jackson and the Titan's Curse is anytime better than Percy Jackson and the Lighting Thief and Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters. The real fun of the series begins from here. Really nice book.
