overall, a great book Review by penelope lovelaceThis book takes a long deep look into the work of Philip K. Dick, his ideas, and discusses his novels, focusing on five: Martian Time Slip, DADES, A Maze of Death, A Scanner Darkly (but mostly the book, not the movie), and Valis. The writing is a bit uneven and some paragraphs are weaker than others, but the strong ones are *really* strong!
There is a bio chapter, which is great, and interesting observations about Dick's views of reality and different sources that he used (classical and contemporary). If you like Dick, this book is like a long dialogue about his ideas and novels. Two thumbs up!
