The Philips Air purifier uses the Professional Filtration System to eliminate harmful agents in four stages. In stage 1, the antibacterial pre-filter catches larger airborne particles like pet dander, hair and regular house dust. In stage 2, the HEPA and multi-care filter remove fine airborne particles larger than 20 nm. In stage 3, the activated carbon filter gets rid of unpleasant odors and harmful gases, while in stage 4, the HEPA filter with its antibacterial coating filters out fine dust and eliminates germs and mold.
The Healthy Air Protect Alert tells you it's time to replace the filter. Thanks to the Healthy Air Protect Lock, when the filter is not replaced in time, the purifier ceases to function, till the filter is replaced with a new one.
The appliance has 5-step fan speed that lets you adjust the air flow to your liking. This air purifier is fully automatic for hassle-free operation. It has an in-built sensor that senses the air quality in the room and automatically selects the appropriate speed setting, so you breathe clean air. The appliance has light indicators that show you air quality level - Blue for good, Purple for average and Red for bad.
When in Auto mode, the appliance automatically switches to Night Mode when the room becomes dark. In this mode, the appliance operates silently, the fan speed and noise level are reduced and lights go dim so you can sleep peacefully. When you turn the lights on for more than 5 minutes, the appliance resumes normal operation.
If a nasty odor is lingering in your living room, you turn this purifier to the BoostPower Mode. In this mode, the fan speed is high which quickly purifies the air.
