Philips AZ1837 Boom Box

The product is reasonably good, but first see whether that exactly fits your requirement:
Cons:
1. The biggest con is that there is no external speaker port, you cannot connect any type of external speakers!
2. no DVD support
3. FM and AM tuning as well as volume control is manual, hence remote control has no control on all 3
4. No equalizer
Pro:
1. USB and AUX input
2. AC as well as battery powered
3. Quite easy to carry and being battery driven very handy if you want to jam on a beach!
4. Though not very loud, quite good sound quality
5. Remote control range is awesome!

Got this boom box from flipkart. First of all it looks so stylish, can easily match with any of your modern gadgets. You will love its looks. built quality is just awesome.
Now importantly, its very functional, you can play songs with CD, radio, Pendrive.. and to my own surprise it has an AUX connection too, and AUX connector is provided with it, so you can play songs with your mobile, Ipod, Mp3 player using 3.5 mm jack.. means you can use it as a speaker for you mobile phones , mp3 players etc ! that's a good one Phillips. It also has modes REPEAT, REPEAT ALL, SHUFFLE.
Radio has got manual tuning, no auto tuning is there.
the sound quality is good, you will get CLARITY and not noise.
can be operated without electricity using 6 batteries (cell). Another good feature.
All in all, a great product to have if you want a portable music player with nice sound and functionality.
And as always, a good service from flipkart in delivering it in quickest of times :)

Product:
A Value for money product. Great sound quality and equally good finish. The USB is USP for me and was also the key requirement for me. Compact, great finish and sound quality to define in short.

The remote is not of much help, you can only moves songs forward and backward and also switch mode once you have tuned the mode on the manual switch (No volume control nor can u switch radio and USB etc) For me practically the remote offers no value.

Rest of the stuff is just great and truly worth the value.

Ok this is awesome... been using it for abt a mnth.. sound qualityis as its supposed to be.. caant expect beats and base out of it but itgwts the job done for wht I bot it for. Atthis price in a philips brand u r getting a usb olayer..whchis fantastic and it runs smooth.
Only things.. which I didnt liked are no display for the songs on the unit and even though there is a remote.. there is nothing much u cn do with it.. nt even volume. Tuning is manual.. u cannot save the stations..

Brought this for my father who generally likes listening to old melodies. The boom box as such is small and simple to operate. USB support is a plus. But navigation of the USB files is not so great. Only numerical info is displayed and you will see only the number of the folder / song. If you have multiple folders selecting a particular song will be a big problem.

This product is definitely not for those who likes to rock with a lot of sound.

Overall its a very simple and a good product by Philips.

Flipkart service is just awesome.
