I bought this player assuming every blu-ray player can also play back blu-ray 3D, but apparently, that's not the case. This one for example, can't play back 3D content on Blu-ray discs. It plays it back as regular blu-ray video though.
The issue is only with Blu-ray 3D. If you have 3D content in other formats, like .mkv, .ts or even the regular .avi and .mp4 files with half/full SbS or TaB content, it can handle it all just fine. But then, that's true for most other video players.
The build of the player is decent enough for the price point. Simple, a bit plasticky, but good enough. The remote control is a bit shabby. But the player supports HDMI-CEC, so, if your TV supports HDMI-CEC, then it's a non-issue. You can control the player with your TV remote.
On the whole, it's a good blu-ray player, and can handle most other contemporary formats. Just don't buy if you expect it to handle blu-ray 3D.
