Philips GoGear SoundDot 2 GB MP3 Player

Issue 1: placed my order on 24th october also with advance payment..got it delivered today 1st Nov...and Flipkart says delivery time is 2-4 days..

Issue 2: the offer says a headphone of worth Rs.499 comes free with the player. But it does not mention that Flipkart will carefully take out your original headphone from the player package and replace it with a roadside Chinese headphone worth Rs 20 and along with they will of course send you the free headphone...electric pink in color, which only a Japanese school girl will dare to use..or may be a mentally unstable person..so, basically as free headphone what you exactly get is a product which a normal person with a stable mind will never think of buying it...

So, if you are ready to wait for about 10 days after placing the order and making the advance payment and then receive a player with a Chinese headphone and another shocking pink color headphone....The this deal is only for you...FLIPKART is the only thing you need...

I bought this product much earlier however It took some time for me to review it properly.

*Nice Multi-colored LED light
*Okay headphones
*Space is 1.9 GB and can store up to 450 songs
*USB charging and simple drag-drop song feature

Dislikes:
*Battery life is not exactly 6hr
*No display to select a particular song or sound effects like bass etc. but you cant find that even in ipod shuffle
*No fast forwarding feature
*Slow button response to skip a song

Overall an average value for money if you are going for style and if you are really a song lover who can change your mood according to song not songs to your mood :)

Just got it yesterday. Awesome flipkart service.. as usual!!

Good sound quality, good features, cheap (2GB for 1599 is not bad given that 2gb ipod shuffle will cost u twice as much) and bold-stylish looks.
If u are a music lover who wants to hear music all the time, this will suit you. It has a nice clip for attaching it to clothes which means you can use it practically everywhere - while jogging, while travelling, etc.
On the slightly bad side, there are reviews about it regarding bad battery life. Have to check that. No display is fine.
But all the bad things is balanced by the awesome service of flipkart.. U guys ROCK!!

Hey excellent service flipkart! device was delivered in couple of days.

I loved the design and sure it catches the eyes, I wasn't sure of the accessories of the order, it contained the player with a headset (obviously of a poor quality and causes pain in ears) had a Sony headset and is a perfect match.

Pros :

Cool design,
Better sound quality with good headset,
Plays for 6 hrs, I use it all day long in my work and travels
Has options to Play / Pause / Volume +/- Next / Previous / Shuffle
No driver / software installation required for pc sync, just plug and play!

Cons :

Usb Chargeable, Unless you hang around with laptop / other charger you may need one for travel
Device turn on often when put on jean packets.

My first purchase on flipkart and I'm happy with it.

I bought this product about 9 months ago and used it off and on since then. The sound quality is acceptable for the price point. The player does have issues when the music library is large (100+ songs). It doesn't seem to recognize more than a few dozen songs before going back to the beginning. Battery life is superb, can last a couple of days when used sparingly. This player is versatile as well, you can use it as a replacement for a pen drive as you can store any data on it and retrieve as you would in a regular pen drive. Overall quite satisfied.
