The Philips Mixer Grinder comprises of three jars, mainly used for the purpose of liquidizing, multi-purpose grinding and chutney grinding. The liquidizing jar has a capacity of 1 litre and can also perform blending and pureeing functions. The 1.5 litres multi-purpose grinding jar takes care of wet and dry grinding and mincing functions. Chutney grinding is taken care of the 0.3 litre Chutney jar.
This Philips grinder has sleek and stylish looks and requires less storage space as well. The jars in this Panasonic mixer grinder have a high grade stainless steel body material. For speed adjustments, this mixer grinder features the speed selector knob. The appliance also features non-slip feet and power indicator to make its handling even more easy.
Safety features
Always ensure that you plug-in your Philips mixer grinder only after you fix the jar to the main unit and rotate the coupler. It is mandatory to not let the power cord touch any hot surface to avoid damage and accidents. Do not use this appliance if you notice that the main chord, plug or any other component is damaged.This Philips HL1643/04 features a Safety Lock System that requires you to hold the coupler inside the jar and rotate in in an anti-clockwise direction till the blades are securely locked. Overload protector is also featured by this appliance to avoid accidents and the motor from burning. This feature disconnects the grinder automatically once its storage capacity limit is crossed.
Power and Performance
The Philips1643/04 has a powerful 600 watt motor to minimize the manual work and result in effective grinding. The power input of the mixer is 230 V. This appliance includes four types of blades that are Universal blade, multi-grinding blade, liquidizing and chutney blade. A combination of these blades deliver the perfect degree of grinding, blending and mixing to help you prepare delicious and nutritious food. Badly put together
I had to go to the service centre from day1. Blades would not come out smoothly for changing blades. Dome does not click on comfortably onto the blender jar. It is simply not precisely made. Loud noise. Poor quality. Heats up. Today, it died on me after two years. I am not even getting it repaired. Based on word of mouth recommendations, I have placed an order today for a Preethi Mixie trhought Flipkart.

Decent Mixer
It does job well and a decent mixer for everyday purpose. This gets hot within a very short span of time which is quite unusual. Also, Philips claims its a very quite but its actually its very noisy. I used almost the same model from Philips before I bought this new one from Flipkart. Therefore, I can say Philips has not taken much care to reduce the noise. I would expect Philips to improve drastically on these factors. These are the reasons I rated 3 star.
