Well, my wife insisted not to go with Philips. But poor me, I insisted on the brand. Finally it turned out to be a not so well made product. The handle of the jars were fitted with screws from inside the jar. Every time you clean the jar or scrape the mixed content, you will tend to hurt your fingers...what a pathetic thought while designing the product. The steel used is very thin...Better to go for local made mixers like Preethi, Maharaja, Sumit.
I will rethink whenever I make a decision to purchase a Philips product again.
It does job well and a decent mixer for everyday purpose. This gets hot within a very short span of time which is quite unusual. Also, Philips claims its a very quite but its actually its very noisy. I used almost the same model from Philips before I bought this new one from Flipkart. Therefore, I can say Philips has not taken much care to reduce the noise. I would expect Philips to improve drastically on these factors. These are the reasons I rated 3 star.
Purely a classic from Philips with low noise ratio,,,,its very compact and easy 2 handle
Trust the name " Philips" always
and plz dont buy Kenstar products as i m screwed by the service it provides,,,,,,
Philips r the BEST :)
I had to go to the service centre from day1. Blades would not come out smoothly for changing blades. Dome does not click on comfortably onto the blender jar. It is simply not precisely made. Loud noise. Poor quality. Heats up. Today, it died on me after two years. I am not even getting it repaired. Based on word of mouth recommendations, I have placed an order today for a Preethi Mixie trhought Flipkart.
I bought this for my mom since the older butterfly mixie was not upto mark. This one is the perfect everyday mixie. Good grinding including chutney and powders, less noise and standard size but good quality jars. My mom liked it!
The machine is nice, the only issue I have is with somewhat excessive heating, even when you operate for, say, 10 seconds. It must be as per design, and might not even be an issue, but the mixie I had earlier did not heat up as much as this one.
