Philips HL7620 Mixer Grinder

First, hats off to Flipkart again for a quick and perfectly packaged delivery!
Now coming to the product. Philips has been a home brand for ages and hence when I went looking for mixer grinder, the brand was on top of my mind.
When the delivery came in, the actual product was wrapped below 3 layers of packing, a carton, a bubble wrap and the product carton. This was quiet impressive! However, when we tried washing and using the jars, the biggest of 3 jars was leaking from below. The knob of the main unit was functional only on level 3 (the wheel didnt move on level 1 & 2). The smallest cutney jar spilled out its content when it was not even filled uptil the brim. All this was a shocker from a brand like Philips. It was a gift to my mother but the product only left me embarrassed.
But thanks to Flipkart, when I registered a complain with them, they provided a replacement in flat 3days. We got an all new set and they took away the faulty one. This time all was well and I finally saw a smile on my mother's face.
The grinder is functioning well now. It's sturdy with good machinery, compact and looks cute in our kitchen. The only problems are
- the wire which could have been lil longer
- Philips can look at reducing the noise levels
- With no separate lock for the lids, you tend to hold on to the jar while in motion to avoid any spillage.

1) As usual, it is the Philips produce and they always implement a clean and very nice & handy theme on their product like no unnecessary buttons and designs.Thats always pretty neat,no-confusions.
2) Noise level is very very low.
3) Locking system is good.
4) Weightless.
5) Bottom Rubber bush grip is good.
6) The air-tight integrity is very good.
7) For Rs.2,200/- the product carries all the facilities to expect.

Good motor. Good price. Good build quality. Good features. Light weight and compact.
500-W Motor, good enough for a family of four.
Best buy in 500 W compact-category.

After a lot of research i finally shortlisted this mixer ...as i wanted something that was a lil different from the usual mixers.And as the company was Philips and teh product on flipkart ... i decided to go for it .
However it has not been a good experience.The product arrived in great shape ..thanks to flipkart , however the quality of the does not look very impressive .I started to use and I month down the line ....it stopped working !! No clue why! Now i need to get it rectified as it seesm to have some motor related problem.....This is very dissappointing , that just a month of use and the mixer requires help!!
Dont go for it ...is what i would suggest to anyone who is looking at buying it!!

We were looking for a mixer grinder (dry & wet) which was compact. Did not like the ones that had the "L" shaped base; too big. This one came with a smaller motor unit and seemed ok. Have been using it for sometime now and found it good. The safety lock mechanism is pretty good. It was a bit hard initially; but its ok now; hope it does not become loose over time. It comes with 4 types of blades that you can easily interchange. Works well. Wish the jars were transparent or at least the lid so you could see what's happening inside !!!
Flipkart was very quick in delivering the product also. Hat's off to that !!!
