Philips HP8300 Hair Straightener

i brought this one for my girl friend and she looks good in her new style..
1. the product is cool lavender color and is handy.
2. temp will be 180C. so, be careful with ur hair as there is no temp adjustments.
3. this thing gives good results and that plating over the ceramic plates is well finished.
4. u can have straight hair and curls only in the hair ends.
5. only small defect is that u can't get these plates together while packing or carrying it's elsewhere. it is always that V shape as there is no click lock like to hold the plates together. this ain't a big problem though.

the verdict is that it's a very good product for beginners and the results are awesome..

I had bought this product from FlipKart a month back and have been using it regularly after almost every wash. I guess it's the sheer excitement of trying something new.

On a serious note, this product suits me perfectly though it might not be so for others as it has its limitations.

The Advantages can be summed up as:
1. Light weight and handy
2. Leaves hair smooth and lively
3. Makes the hair look naturally straight unlike the look you get from parlor treatment.

It has its share of Drawbacks:
1. No indicator, one has to assume the heat up time.
2. Very small plates which makes the whole process very time consuming specially if you have to do your own hair.
3. No matter how hard you try, it's impossible to get the salon like poker straight hair.
4. Moreover, the straightness lasts only a day or two at the max .
Despite the limitations, I simply love it for I'm not fond of the poker straight look which leaves my hair lifeless and void of moisture. Moreover, the absence of indicator is not a problem as one can simply follow the instructions.

So guys, study your requirements carefully and then buy the one which best suits you. FK has many options to choose from.

Pros : Rounded edges, used to make curls, waves as well.
Compact size and dual voltage, thus easy to take for travel.
Clip on lock is there, so the plates dont stick out.
Its lavender and pretty! :D
Ceramic plating, doesn't do a lot of damage.

Cons : The ends don't get straightened, EVER. No matter how hard you try.
There is no variable voltage,so you cant control the damage you do on your hair.
The outer body gets heated a LOT. So you can burn yourself by touching it after prolonged use.
You can never get that poker straight look, possibly because the temperature goes upto only 180.

Go for it if you like the blow dried look, with a little volume and bounce rather than the pin straight look. I prefer the pin straight look so I will be switching over to an Andis or GHD soon. I would suggest you to go for the Black Philips straightener, since it has variable temperature.

Its Worth Product but really have small size as i expect ...

So guys take in mind its size is small..

Otherwise Product is Branded and works fine . . . :)

In Place of this buy Black And Decker PX90
Its good Size and Works Fine.... And also have Lock to Carry it easily ;)

If you have long hair (long enough to come down to your shoulder blades) keep in mind the volume before getting this product.
It is small in size and thus, takes a lot of time to do the entire thing.

It's light and nice, yes. Has a portable, girly look, yes. But make sure you can do with small plates and either lots of time and patience or a helping hand (or two).
