Philips HQ130 2 Headed Shaver

It's pretty good for the price. Gives surprisingly close shave for an instrument this size.

Delivery was prompt, packaged with a lot of care. In fact two sets of salon cartridges can cost as much. Surely a good buy.

Flipkart's Service:
I ordered for the first time from Flipkart on Monday night, Received a confirmation call after a hour of placing order, Got the delivery on Wednesday Afternoon.
The packaging was way above what I expected, Bubble Wrapped, Airbags to fill in the empty space to avoid damages in transit even though they Provide IN-TRANSIT Insurance free of cost. I had to struggled a bit to open up the box. So packaging and Flipkart's service was good. Saved a lot more time If I would have surveyed the market, then had to look which shop had the device.

Product's Review:
I do have a very tough beard, Didn't ever got a dry shave with electric shavers as close to a Wet one, Tried some chinese ones, Nova, Panasonic and few more.
But for this price range this was a good deal I could have got.
The Shaver does provide shaves close to a Wet Shave, You just need to know how to properly glide it on your skin which you can know within few uses.
It does gives some irritation in beginning, But as the manual has said, It will take some time to adjust the skin with this shaving system, So I won't comment for that. Just don't let your beard grow too much, Or Else, Repeat uses like 8-9 times will do give some irritation, even if it's a 10k bucks shaver.
The hair container can be cleaned easily with a blow of air or by the brush provided.
The Blades too can be cleaned properly, For newbies it may take one or two times to do it properly.
The motor and electric part is covered under the warranty, not the blades as they are subject to wear and tear. So if you are in a flow of getting a long bear and then using the shaver, Then the blades life may be effected.
Overall, It is worth the money you spend, I didn't regretted buying it. The performance too was great.

My dad bought me this when i was around 10-11 class. it was very good at the start as i had a rather slow growing weak beard...

but now whenever i use this it makes me cry as my beard has become hard and the the way this works is.. it pulls the hairs rather strongly and they get stuck and they don't cut and pull the long hairs and it makes me cry....

this works only for daily users more than 3-5 days and it will be painful .
Even after replacing the blades it still pains cutting long hairs...
that's y i am browsing flipkart now to buy a new shaver/trimmer.

My 1st product that i bought online..
same as any other indian i was afraid of internet scam..
all these years i had credit card, debit card but was afraid to use it online...
then i saw flipkart ad on TV...and just thought that i shld give it a Try ...
made a order with wrong address to cross check...if this thing works
also read reviews and complaints at thier facebook page..
but then i finally ordered coz it was just 740 rs.....order placed on 9sep was waiting curiously...and guess what thier status changed to shipped after 24hrs...and i got a tracking number... i typed that no on bluedart courier site and wola u get details of ur courier ....received the product on 12 in a perfect condition.....awsum product close shave ...u can use it for chest and hands hairs too....just but rechargeable batteries and a battery recharger...it cost me 300 rs ....flip kart u rock....

Perhaps my review might be a little skewed because this is the first (good) electric shaver that I have purchased and used. I had bought some cheap chinese product many years back and it still gives me the shivers to think of the lousy shave I got from that. It was pathetic, pulling hairs out and gave me a bad rash. That put me away from even thinking of electric shavers for a long time.

So it was with a bit of skepticism that I bought the HQ130. But on my first shave itself, I was impressed. But I wanted to see how it would perform over a number of uses hence the late review.

After weeks of using this, I am still happy with the product. I only have trouble with it on places where the beard grows against the "grain". I have to really run up and down this area again and again for the shaver to catch all the hair. Also, it drains normal batteries quite quickly. But it still runs well. I need to buy new Duracell batteries and see how they last. I guess it will be better.

Overall, I am very happy with this product. My only thing - if a 2 headed shaver can do such a good job, how good will be a Philips 3 headed shaver? :)
