Philips HR1351/C Hand Blender

Pros
1. Very good for making milk shakes, fruit juices(cuts the fruits and vegetables to a paste) and whatever they have told you in product description.
2. Easy to handle and weighs very little.
3. Easy to clean and maintain.

Cons
These shortcomings noted below can be true with the other blenders also. So do your research.
1. If you are making 'pudina' chutney or any chutney with leaves, you will find it difficult grind it into a proper liquid mixture.
2. Cannot use it to break down ice cubes into smaller pieces.But crushed ice gets blended well.

P.S. It is worth the money. Chopper is a very handy tool. FLIPKART \m/

It arrived at exactly 10 days after i ordered it (couldn't complain cause i live in the far corner of the north-east) and it has lived up to its promise.
Great blender for drinks but the chopper's average. Its not the best out there, but, as far as hand blenders with a 1400-1500 price tag go, the performance is undoubtedly superb. (And it comes with a chopper too)
Buy this if you want a blender that's portable and easy to operate. Skip it if you're gonna use it for heavy blending/kitchen use.

About a year back I started living alone after my flatmate got married and decided to cook my own meals to avoid the excess oil cooks use. I bought a lot of kitchen appliances from Flipkart (iron, induction cook top, toaster, electric kettle etc.).

Having used these products for about a year and becoming a reasonably competent cook is why I am reviewing these products now. Enough, now lets get to the blender.

As usual Flipkart packs and ships like only it can. The blender box contained:
1. Hand blender
2. Chopper Attachment
3. Beaker
4. User Manual

I have used the hand blender to make cold coffee, smoothies, lassi, whisk yogurt for gravies etc. and have felt the need for a more powerful motor sometimes (apple smoothie!!!!)

The chopper attachment has been used the most to make tomato puree, ginger garlic paste and to make onion paste (I make a lot of non - veg curries!!!!!). It is top notch in my opinion and I have never felt the need for more power than what is delivered.

A good product from Philips.

We have been using Philips blender for the last 1 year and found it very unsatisfactory.

Cons:
1. The plastic bowls are NOT of good quality. Already one bowl is broken. No replacement even during warranty as Philips Service Center claims this is due to improper use! Many other brands provide Unbreakable bowls! Philips is yet to catch with them or simply wants to make money through services and spares.
2. The juicer attachment blade was good only for the first 3 months. Later it got stuck and stopped rotating. As this was under warranty, the Philips Service Center did not bother to even look what happened - they just gave a new attachment!!!! Later I got to know this is regular problem with Philips Hand Blenders. Prepare to shell out for this attachement if it is post-warranty.

All in all, not at all a quality product from Philips. We brought this product due to good perception we had about Philips, like most people in India. AVOID this model or better avoid Philips altogether!!!!!
