This Philips hand mixer ships with dough hook attachment that can be used on pizza, bread and any generic yeast dough. These are designed to deliver a uniform kneading action which ensures no lumps in the final mixture. The dough hook can also be used to fold flour onto the dough for making muffins and pastries.
Crafted from stain-resistant, ABS plastic body, the HR1453 features an ergonomic handle contour that provides a relaxed and fatigue-free grip. The HR1453 is driven by a quiet yet powerful 175 watt motor; it packs enough punch to mix even dense batter (for cookies) and requires a mere 5-7 minutes to mix the batter for a medium sized cake. A hand mixer also helps you in saving the amount of ingredients you would otherwise use with manual mixing. The reason is that power mixer tends to fluff up the batter much more thereby reducing the amount of butter/egg white you would require to loosen the mixture.
Function
The 3 speed setting in the Philips hand mixer makes it versatile to handle any type of ingredient a baking recipe calls for. The HR1453 can be used to mix soft and light ingredients like cake batter, sauces, soups, cream and egg whites. This Philips hand mixer is designed to give you total control of the texture and consistency of the batter; which greatly affects the end result for any baked confectionary. The Turbo setting in the Philips HR1453 mixer allows you to add that extra fluff to egg whites and batter to render a creamy consistency.
Safety and Convenience
Make sure you use the highest speed setting/Turbo while kneading any kind of dough as the machine delivers the highest power at higher speeds. While mixing low viscous liquids (egg whites), start with lowest speed setting to reduce splatter. The beater and kneading hooks are chrome plated and crafted from rust-resistant stainless steel to render added durability and strength. They are also dishwasher safe for easy and convenient cleaning.
The slide speed control switch in the HR1453 allows you to seamlessly shift between speeds to render even texture to the mixture. Great Product for Beginners.
I received this product within two days. I made a frittata (fancy name for an omelette) the minute I received it. It turned out very light and fluffy! The blender has a good grip and has a flat bottom which makes it easy to stand. Place a plate under the beaters to avoid making a mess from the dripping. It helps to have 3 speed settings along with it's individual turbo modes. The beats and dough hooks are easy to take out and wash. So overall a good investment.
P. S. I'm giving it 4 stars because no one and nothing can be absolutely perfect. :)
P. P. S. There might be a slightly odd smell. It wont affect the blend and will most probably go away. (Most mixers, blenders and hair dryers have that smell.)

Philips hand mixer
This is a great thing. It is a must if u bake cakes and make ice creams at home. I already hv one and I am planning to gift one too this festive season. it is very handy and easy to use. It is non rusty and the blades eject out easily than other brands.

Good Buy
Got the product in a couple of days of ordering it. Its decent and convenient to use. Easy to operate 3 speed control. Very easy and non messy while churning butter from curd. Also nice to beat eggs for cakes and pastries, but personally would have preferred a 300W motor. No complaints though. But i am quite not so comfortable with the kneading function. Any day kneading is easier done in a food processor.
Fully detachable hook attachments makes for hassle free cleaning.

Excellent Product ... For your baking needs
Bought this as gift for new Year for my wife as she had recently started baking a lot, and we were borrowing a hand blender from our neighbour.
It turned out to be a veru good gift. We have prepared many cakes in this one month this Hand blender did its job very efficiently. We are able to bake a cake in 45 minutes every time we bake. Its powerful and the design is very good so that you can place it on the table standing straight, the dripping is taken care of that way. The material of the machine is also top notch and not some cheap metal and plastic. The cleaning can get a bit difficult, but that is applicable for all the blenders because of the shape of the metal blending pieces.
There is one more set for making bread and such tougher doughs, but havent tried that yet.
Buy this and you wont be Sorry ..... Happy baking !!!

A remarkable product
I recently bought this product and I have nothing but kind words to describe it.
The device is elegant and is easy to use. It is also I believe the best in its category.
There is one very very small drawback - The lowest speed could perhaps be a notch lower; that would have worked better when mixing wet and dry ingredients like when baking a cake. However, as a simple workaround, I just use a cover to cover 80% of the bowl and things just workout fine.
For those of you looking to buy something that is the best value for your money, you'll hit the jackpot with this hand mixer.
