Philips HR1858 Juicer

As compared to many of the standard juicer/mixer/grinder combos available (even from Philips) itself, this is a very pricey standalone juicer. However, it works great and is powerful as compared to regular juicers. Eg, we have a Philips Citrus press, which is also powered but this one juices citrus fruits better. Also great for veggie-fruit combos. You can also drop in whole fruits. Also comes with a very well designed and easy to understand recipe book, which also tells you about what you can do with the residual pulp (eg. for cakes from carrots, beauty masks from pulp of other fruits, etc). Mine was delivered in 2 days by Flipkart.

Flipkart again delivered product in very good time(1 day)... Keep it up guys.
Juicer is a bit expensive but worth every rupee you pay.
Pros:
Built material used is good.
Easy to use and clean.
Can swallow entire fruits.
Juices fruits and vegetables very fast e.g. 1Kg Oranges in just 15 sec.
Good Pulp collector.
Juice collector and foam collector provided.
Powerful, still comparatively silent motor.

Cons:
No de-seeder. You need to de-seed fruits before juicing else juice is a bit bitter in taste.

Overall, very good product from Philips which can be made excellent if they provide de-seeding option in this.

Hats off to Philips for make a wonderful product. Ordered this from Flipkart after intensive research. It was delivered in 2 working days. The whole family is now happy that fruit juice is available at all times. It take a few minutes only to make perfect fruit juice without any seeds or foam in it.

A must for everyhousehold! Some may feel it is a little expensive. However when you compare the money you pay for the fruit juices you drink outside this is peanuts! Many cheaper fruit juicing m/c are out in the market. With Philips HR 1858, there is nothing we need to do manually excepting cutting the fruits and pushing it the tube and ofcourse cleaning, which is a 2 minute job.

Extremely easy to use, this is dream for folks who like their morning glass of fresh juice. You can almost put fruits as they are, whole... no peeling, no deseeding required... but for best results, chop into large pieces without the seeds and inedible stuff.

Not suitable for fruits with starch like bananas and mangoes, those need to be juiced with a blender.

Cleaning is easy, although there are a lot of parts you need to assemble properly!

Flipkart delivered the juicer in just 2-3 days, in perfect condition, with wonderful packing - as they always do! Highly recommended!

Although costly, this juicer performed its duties nicely for 1 year and then one fine day of juicing carrots, the feeding tube got broken, Flimsy plastic, We have been running pillar to post to get it replaced and no service center in Bangalore keeps the spare parts. I even checked up there Central warehouse in Pune and they also shown no interest with this product spare parts.

Its a horrible experience, You can definitely buy this at your own risk, You will be happy as long as it does not breaks, Once some part breaks, You are only left with an option to donate this expensive appliance to the Kabadi wala.
