Philips MCD135 Micro Hi-Fi System

first of all, I want to clarify that IT DOES PLAYS VIDEO FROM USB, though only those formats that it supports (no mp4 or mkv). It's written on the box that it only plays music and photos from USB but I'm using it and it easily plays complete movies on it, so nice surprise there. A request to other reviewers that please test this feature (using a .avi file) and update your reviews.

>This was irritating: When I play a DVDrip from my USB, altough the audio for music was loud and clear, dialogue audio levels from the speakers of this system were low. So i had to constantly turn up and down the vol. Although, this problem might get reduced when I plug the audio from this sytem to TV. Currently, I was only using the speakers of MCD135.
>FM signal reception was not very clear for every station.
> The IR connectivity b/w the remote and system was not very good. I had to press keys several times to get the desired effect. Although, this might be due to placing the main box of MCD135 inside the TV stand compartment. But then, my STB remote works perfectly fine from the same location.

So I've jotted my experience with Philips MCD135. It's solid device for its price. Including 'auto-resume' feature would've made it even better. But nonetheless, still very nice.

P.S. Flipkart service was great as usual. The product arrive in 7 days, as mentioned on the webpage. The packaging was also very good.

I purchased this product few days back and I'm quite impressed with it. Good sound quality, connectivity options and nice sets of equiliser settings make this a small powerhouse. The system is also very compact and the build quality is good. Overall this is a good value product and lives upto expectations.

* No video support from USB
* No AM
* No auto-resume (i miss this the most)
* Bass doesn't go too low. (40Hz according to the manual)

Just brought one ...... Am completely satisfied with the quality of sound.
Its a good purchase with the price it comes for.
For the FM radio ensure that the antenna is placed in a place where its gets ample signal or else the audio would not be clear.
For the clarity of audio i would say it does a decent job.
Only thing I was a bit disappointed with Flipkart for taking too long to deliver the product.

very good product for its price. fast delivery from flipkart. Its having 3.5mm input jack for connecting phones and other players, usb port for pendrives. its very sleek and stylish. sound quality is good and radio reception is bit poor. would be better if it had functions like auto resume, no eject button on remote, trebble is less, overall a good system for its price
