Philips QT4019 Trimmer

Hi All,

Ordered this product from FlipKart few days ago, have used it for few times now and I thought it was a good time for me to write a short review on this, hopefully it will be of some help to someone.

First of all this product got delivered to me in nearly 3 days ( Bangalore ) and the packing was just awesome, with a two layered bubble wrap in a cardboard box.

This package came with

* Shaver
* Charger
* Cleaning Brush
* Bill for the warranty and purchase

The trimmer is just amazing, build quality is superb. One thing that's missing is
the rubberized mat finish on the back panel of the shaver, it would have added to the grip, charges pretty well and lasts for 3 trims on a single charge. It has 9 settings which can be changed by rotating the red dial, depending on the length of the hair.

In short, amazing product from Philips and amazing service from Flipkart - Go for it !!!

flawless delivery and packaging is what i can say about flipkart..
Trimmer is very good and has very precise adjustments for grooming. length adjustment head is removable where blades are exposed directly for close shave.
1. consider your requirements of trimming. close shave is not that good. let's say, if u want a french beard. u can trim it precisely to the length. but, close shave of rest of the beard is not good with this machine. [use another electric shaver or a razor instead]
2. watch out for the tender plastic length adjustment head [it's a good one though but sensitive]. one drop to the ground and it may shatter. so, please be careful with that as this part can't be availed as a spare part. all ur dreams of trimming will be gone if u break the adjustment head.
3. take patience to clean it coz u guys might know trimmers are not that easy to maintain without bits of hair. hair specially sticks to that red adjustment ring and is hard to remove [it's rubber provided for grip during adjustment. u can't blame philips for that].

finally, it's a good pick for the beginners in grooming [like me :)]. battery is good. go for it and take care of it...

Now when before ordering this, I thought I'd scroll down to see some reviews on this thing, but sadly it's just about people so hopelessly in love with Flipkart saying how awesome their shipment and packaging was, thank you for stating the obvious guys.

**Review**
this could almost be your all-rounder when it comes to your grooming needs.

*The product is a little big, but surprisingly light for its size.(15cms in length and roughly 4cms at its thickest part)

*It came with
1.Trimmer with attachment installed 2. charger 3.cleaning brush
4.manual and certificate of purchase.

*as per the instructions, I left it to charge for a solid 10hours before using it and found my first shave really satisfying.(the charger is quite compact and is a two pin adapter not a charging dock/stand)

*One can remove the trimming attachment and use it as a shaver, it would not come close to a neat razor-like shave but it does give you something close to a 2day stubble.

*I wanted to shave my mustache and also trim the length of my goatee for which it has a horizontal circular dial to adjust the trimming level required, say from 1 to 9 corresponding to 1mm to 2cms

*Trimming/shaving without the attachment on: please be careful as some without prior experience would hurt themselves and some caution and concentration on your trimming skills are required.

*Yes you can trim your body hair, but please do so with the attachment on, at the lowest setting on the dial for best results.

*this thing would work with the charger plugged in, in-case you run out of charge.

*it gave me around 3 to 4 sessions (around 40mins) with one charge cycle, not bad at all.

*I'm fortunate to have a Philips service center just 3kms from my house, according to my friends the service (with this particular trimmer) was really good and they attend to you properly.

*also have a solid grip on it when you trim, as a fall from a 5ft height could possibly break it. Be careful in the bathroom also, this trimmer cannot scuba dive (not water resistant and would cease to function)

*cleaning the trimming blade is quite easy, just push it and blow out the hair, so is pulling out the trimming attachment (from the bottom) and use it as a shaver

*trimming facts: comb your goatee/beard to get a neat trim, do against the grain/growth of hair to get a neat trim/shave, attempting to shave your mustache without the attachment please don't make contact with your upper lip, it would hurt.

all in all a great product, go for it!

Go for this product. It makes perfectly trimmed beard for 3 days. This can be used for a no. of settings from 1-9 simply rotating the clip. Moreover it works perfectly while it is being charged. So it can be used cordless for 35 min after charging for 10 hrs and also when it is charging. On top of that it comes with philips warranty and it is being sold for very less only @ flipkart.

Brilliant stuff from philips! Me too I prefer trimming to shaving and this product worked great for me. Thanks to the previous reviews which compelled me to buy this product. And every penny is worth it!

Not forgetting to mention flipkart's amazing delivery! I got it in 3 days, though I stay in far off north-eastern India. I am a big fan of this site. Just hope that more new products are introduced.
