Philips SHM1900 Headset

If u intend on using the mic as well plz do not buy. I had purchased 1 and I thought the mic is defective but that's not the case. The mic is really silent which i realized after receiving replacement.
I tried testing the mic output on SKYPE the results are as follows

1. the sound meter will never go zero even if u put a cloth on the mic and there is no sound.

2. The sound meter will never go full however loud you are.

3. Plz buy an iball for rupees 110 if your using mic.

except for the mic rest of the headphone is decent enough.

For Gaming:Decent pair of headphones for gaming.Distinct
Left/Right Sound experience with great clarity.But
not too much bass is thumping when a grenade explodes
or a bazooka missile explodes near you.

For Movies:Good for movies.Bass is adequate.

For Music :You can differentiate between almost all instruments
and voices.
Good if your budget is Rs.500 probably best u may get in this range, but not good for u if u like boom bass.
Sturdy Microphone.
Good Volume control.
Ears fit in the ear cups perfectly.
Comfortable ear cup cushions.

I purchased it, and i was looking for headphone for multiplayer hardcore gaming, with background voice chat enabled on skype or any other messenger, i found this headphone and one of my friend also recommended me this, it is good, and comfortable for long gaming sessions, speakers are very good because their volume wont hurt your ears, and i also think they will live long....thanks to my friend and flipkart :-)..OVERALL RATINGS

I have purchased these just a few days back. Got mine delivered today. The product is very light for its mass. The microphone is a gem and will pick up clear voice in every position. The sound from the speakers are clear along all freq. Great VOIP headphone with mic but if you want pure music look elsewhere.

Pros: Great build, Good looks, Lightweight, Microphone, Clear Sound, 2m long cable

Cons: Not at all loud, for people with big ears the cups are just about fitting, no inline microphone volume control, dosenot feel value for money based on sound quality which is average

I ordered this headset from Flipkart and I got it the very next day, just amazing service from Flipkart and also the packing was very good.Flipkart just rocks!!

Now about the headset..

This is a very good headset from philips. Sound clarity is really good even though the loudness is not upto your expectations but still its a really good choice to go with this product as it is really worth the money you pay. Sound clarity and treble of this headset is really amazing, it also provides decent bass so its really good for watching movies.

PROS:
1. It's very lite and very very comfortable to wear.
2. Robust design and it has a in-line volume control.
3. The sound is amazingly clear even at full volume.
4. In specs it is mentioned as "1 year limited warranty" but in the actual product it is stated as "2 years complete warranty" which was really surprising.

CONS:
1. Loudness is only decent not very good.
2. Mic sensitivity is less.
