Philips SHM6110U Headset

I ordered this product after reading the previous reviews and was a bit skeptic whether it was worth risking money online. I placed the order on the evening of 19th Dec, 2011 and received the package on the morning of 20th ! I have Never experienced overnight shipment and that too with free-shipping ! This headphone is a genuine work of art ! its highly ergonomic and does not put undue pressure on the cartilage of the ear, which is usually the cause of pain and soreness of their ear after prolonged usage. The bass and treble balance is mind-blowing ! Clarity is top of the line and any changes to equalizer of the media-player, is easilly discernible in the sound-output. Overall, this is a very good quality headphone for those who value clarity and quality of sound and all that in a cute and comparatively Very inexpensive deal ! I have always been a loyal user of Philips headphones and desktop speakers. After experience with Altec and Sony (both also high-quality manufacturers), I would rather put my money in a Philips headphone :-)

First things first, Hats-off flipkart for the Speedy delivery. On the website, it was mentioned that it would take 2-4 business working days for the delivery of the product, but I got it in 1 day! Yes, that's right, just 24-hours! :)

Now coming to the product and God it's so stylish! It is extremely light weight and makes me a sinner everytime I look at it. Plus its got customizable earshells which look just fabulous. You can change the ear shells to suite your mood. What's more? You can even make your own customized earshell for the headphone!

Then again, looks can be deceiving... I read tonnes of reviews before buying this product and came to know that it delivers pretty good performance with nifty sound clarity and decent Bass/Treble. That's it! It does only a 'Decent Job' in terms of performance.

But I have to tell you that I am a Sony fan but I wanted some change after all these years. Having experienced Philips, I now want to go back to Sony!

Overall, I dont think its worth 800 odd Rupees but hey no ones complaining after taking a look at this marvellous beauty!

Firstly, Flipkart delivery is awesome as-usual.

About the headset,
PROS:
1. Looks absolutely gorgeous, definitely gains looks from the people around you.
2. Excellent clarity if you are chatting online.
3. It has a long wire which is very comfortable for PC users.
4. Mic is perfectly placed, no need to adjust at all the time.
5. And the wire quality is quite good, over all headset is light
weight.
CONS:
1. Don't even think of buying it, if you want to use it with a mobile phone, because, it got too long wire to carry along, and the audio clarity and loudness is quite bad, and you can't use the headset mic with the mobile(it has a separate jack), and it has no noise cancellation. Strictly for home use.

Finally, all i want to say is , it is too beautiful to keep it at home and you can't use it outdoor as it is terrible with mobile phone. At the end, it doesn't make sense to spend so much on something which you cant show-off.

got it 3 days after i ordered....at first look....it looked so visually appealing...plugged them to my laptop.....played my favorite songs in different genres....good for all of them.decent bass...balanced treble.... real euphonic....with little tinkering with EQ you can get the best out of them....as for comfort....they are very light.....not much of burden on your ears...can be used for prolonged listening...volume control is good very responsive..can be very handy.....but i am disappointed with the MIC ....not that sensitive....i checked it on skype audio testing service ....mic volume is low......but you can adjust Mic volume in recording devices control or on skype itself.anyways satisfied with over all performance..i recommend them if you want to buy headphones in this price range....

Now about product...after looking at them there were two reactions...first was wow for look and second was will they really provide good sound??

Pros:
1) At this price really great headphones...
2) Clarity is really good..
3) Easy to handle (Volume control)
4) You can connect to any 3.5mm jack support device (but sound differs as per device)
5) Not hard on ears..(in starting it gets time to adjust)

Cons:
1) Original Bass quality is little low (but you can change equalizer settings for effect)
2) On some devices really low sound even of full volume..(checked on mobiles)

But other than this i don't think there are any other issue to me..have been using them for more than 2 weeks..now also using outside the house with my mp3 player and mobile Nokia-5233...and works really well..sound is good, quality is good and also price is good...if you want to buy a headphone in this range then i will suggest go for this one..worth buying :)
